An unusual word name

I don’t know where or why I came up with this one, but it struck me yesterday and I still like it this morning so I’d figured it was worth a nameberry post at the least. Harvest. You could call him [name]Harvey[/name] for short. Yes, harvest, like the gathering of crops and thanksgiving! It sounds sturdy and honest to me; I suppose it’s a good thing this is just for thought and not for an actual child!

So, thoughts on Harvest? Any other suggestions to share?

I actually agree  Harvest has a fresh sturdy sound that is pretty attractive. It’s a bold choice though!

i like harvest, thats very unique and still sounds strong.

I actually love Harvest! It has a lot of great Biblical connotations for me, and I would be so happy to meet a little Harvest. I’m not crazy about [name]Harvey[/name] as a nn, but I think Harvest is great, and nicely combines the style of something colonial, like [name]Remember[/name], and [name]Everett[/name]. Very handsome and naturey!

I like Harvest. What a cool addition to the nature style names.

I really like the name, but it seems like I’ve heard it for a girl maybe. My husband would shoot it down instantly, but I would love to see it become more popular

To me Harvest sounds more like a girls name than a boys. Something like Harvest [name]Meadow[/name], either way not a big fan.

I can’t decide if I like it for boys or girls - maybe both. Would definitely put it in the middle spot if ever I had enough children.

I like it and definitely think it’s masculine.

I think it’s great! And definitely masculine, like [name]Forrest[/name].

I like it! It’s a beautiful word, so it translates easily to a name. I think it is usable for either boys or girls… I don’t really have a gender preference for the name.

I’m surprised at the suggestion it would work for girls…Harvest seems very masculine to me while names like [name]Meadow[/name] and [name]River[/name] are far more girlish. But I’m also surprised at the good response to Harvest as a name for anyone!

I like the sound of it and believe it would fit a boy or girl, once you met/knew him/her.

I think its slightly more masculine, but it sounds kind of…granola to me? Nothing wrong with that of course, I just picture it on a Co-op kind of family.
