I’ve always been fascinated by names that are anagrams or reversals of each other - some of them sound really beautiful together, and they could make fun twin or sibling combos (as long as they’re not too matchy/forced/obvious and you genuinely love both names). I’ve compiled a big list of semordnilaps (words/names that spell another name backwards) and name anagrams.
These could also work as creative honor names, giving a subtle nod to someone without using their exact name.

So from my list:
Which pairs do you find most usable or appealing?
Are there any you’d actually consider using for siblings/twins or honor names?
I’ve always loved anagrams, so this is a really cute idea! Out of the semordnilaps, these seem the most usable:
Leon & Noel
Cassi & Isaac
Nora & Aron
Aidan & Nadia (+ Diana)
I think most of the anagram pairs are usable. My favourites are:
Liam & Mila - I like the soft sounds
Olive & Viole - Is this pronounced like Viola? I like it, but I think most people would see it as an incomplete form of Violet
Daniela & Adaline - I feel like its harder to create anagrams with long words, so this is really cool, especially considering that there are no repeating sounds

[name_f]Medina[/name_f] and [name_m]Damien[/name_m] / [name_f]Madina[/name_f] and [name_m]Damian[/name_m]
I don’t know if I’d consider any of these for twins (except potentially [name_f]Olive[/name_f] & [name_f]Viole[/name_f], so cute!!), but my favorite anagram pair that I would potentially use is [name_m]Hesperian[/name_m] & Seraphine!!
