Anastasia/Anastasiya/Anastacia?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I’m having a hard time deciding how to spell this name. Which spelling do you prefer or do you have another suggestion? Those I’ve found are [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], [name_f]Anastacia[/name_f] and [name_f]Anastasiya[/name_f].

Also, what do you think about [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f]?

Thanks!

Like with most others names, I find that alternate spellings rarely enhance the beauty or meaning of the name; instead they make the name only more confusing to its wearer and others. I vastly prefer [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]!

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f] is pretty, but sounds distinctly Russian. Its not a bad thing, but I would expect [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f] to be from [name_f]Russia[/name_f].

I 100% prefer [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. But of course, that’s what I’m used to…

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f] is very pretty.

I would pronounce [name_f]Anastasiya[/name_f] like Russians pronounce it, [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-nah-stah-SEE-yah. I think I slightly prefer the English spelling/pronunciation, [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f].

I’m not fond of either of these names, but I think it’s an elegant and graceful combo. I’d assume [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f] has Russian heritage.

I too would expect an [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f] to be Russian, and, personally, I usually dislike similar endings together in a combo (ie; both names ending in an 'ah" sound), so it’s not my ideal choice ([name_f]Irene[/name_f] would be lovely though), but it works

I prefer the [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] spelling, as it’s less complicated, but [name_f]Anastasiya[/name_f] is pretty too.

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is my spelling preference. I have an aversion to y’s so [name_f]Anastasiya[/name_f] is a no-no. [name_f]Anastacia[/name_f] looks odd to me. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f] is heavy on the a’s and very Russian. What about [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] or [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Eirene[/name_f]?

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] makes the most sense. In my opinion, [name_f]Anastasiya[/name_f] only works if one/both parents are from Eastern Europe. [name_f]Anastacia[/name_f] just looks like a misspelling.

I prefer [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] (this spelling), but I’m not a fan of [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f].

I prefer the [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] spelling. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f] is gorgeous, but like others have said – it’s distinctly very Russian and I would assume the child’s parents were Russian.

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is one of my absolute favorite names, so I love it regardless.
