I love the name Anastasia, but it is kind of a mouth full. I’d probably call her Anastasia most of the time but wondering if any cute nicknames I can use occasionally…
I like Ana/Annie, but my husband does not.
I love Anya, but I know someone whose daughter is named Anya already.
Any other suggestions? I was kind of thinking Asia, but not sure if that’s a stretch?
What do y’all think of Asia as a nickname for Anastasia? Any other suggestions?
I love [name_f]Annie[/name_f] and [name_f]Anya[/name_f]! I’m rather fond of [name_f]Nastia[/name_f] myself but it’s not terribly usable in [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking countries I suppose… I think Sisi/Cici/Cece, [name_f]Sissy[/name_f], [name_u]Nana[/name_u], Tasie, [name_f]Nia[/name_f], [name_f]Tia[/name_f], [name_f]Sia[/name_f], Stacey/Stasie, etc, could also work! I’m quite fond of [name_f]Cici[/name_f] myself.
The traditional nicknames are [name_f]Anya[/name_f] and Nastya/Nastia. But you could also do Stasi, [name_f]Ana[/name_f], [name_f]Sisi[/name_f], or [name_f]Sia[/name_f]
Asia definitely works, not too much of a stretch! It’s not my favorite personally though, I prefer Stasia. Maybe Nan/Nancy? It’s kind of a stretch but since they’re traditionally nicknames of Anne it might work.
I can definitely see [name_f]Nancy[/name_f], [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] and [name_f]Starry[/name_f] as nicknames for [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. Compared to that [name_f]Asia[/name_f] is “normal” nickname
