DH and I are considering [name_m]Anders[/name_m] for our baby boy due in [name_u]November[/name_u]. But we are afraid its too weird.
Thoughts?
We already have 2 girls named [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Livia[/name_f].

[name_m]Anders[/name_m] sounds handsome! I don’t think it’s weird. I like it.
I think [name_m]Anders[/name_m] is just fine, and matches [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Livia[/name_f] perfectly style wise.
I’d never heard this name before, which is remarkable seeming the boy name pool seems 50% smaller than the girls
I like it, I don’t think it’s weird and it goes with the other kids.
I do think some people might hear or assume [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] the first time he introduces himself though.
I love it! It’s uncommon, but it’s definitely not weird. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if people haven’t heard the name before, it’s a familiar sound and a straightforward spelling so I do see that there would be much issue with it. I say go for it!
I’m considering [name_m]Anders[/name_m] too (not pregnant but planning number 2) and I love the name!
I worry it sounds too trendy, but I know it has a long history.
It’s very handsome but you have to be mindful of the pronunciation. It you go with ‘ann-ders’ then I can see it being mistaken for [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]. I prefer ‘awn-ders’ although that’s not really a familiar sound (except [name_u]Andre[/name_u]) so people maybe confused.
I most likely would have been named [name_m]Anders[/name_m] if I had been a boy. I think it’s nice, not too common but not too weird. I’ve met a few [name_m]Anders[/name_m] and they didn’t seem to have problems with their name. I say go for it if you love it.
It’s easy to spell and pronounce, but still uncommon - just like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Livia[/name_f]. Definitely use it!
I really like [name_m]Anders[/name_m]. It’s handsome and spunky, not heard that often but not weird at all!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! It’s the new [name_m]Brooks[/name_m]
I love [name_m]Anders[/name_m]; it’s one of my favorites. It’s not too weird at all.
I like it and have also considered using it as a first name to honor my grandfather whose last name was [name_m]Anders[/name_m] and only had grandchildren from his daughters.
Thanks, Everyone!
I like it well enough. I knew a guy named [name_m]Anders[/name_m] [name_m]Stone[/name_m], and the combination worked really well for him.
