"Angel" baby names

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are trying to find names for our rainbow baby and since we lost our son we really want names that are associated with Angels, [name_f]Heaven[/name_f], or have an ethereal type feel to them. (thank you to the Berries for this idea as well)

So far we have:
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] ?
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]

Thanks to the lovely Berries on here I think I’m okay with girls names I just have to decide if [name_f]Evangelina[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f].

What I really need help with is boy names. I already have a [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] so that won’t work.

Any ideas?

Thank you for responding. I like [name_u]Michael[/name_u] but unfortunately it’s my brother-in-laws name and he is egocentric enough to think that it’s after him.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_m]Angelo[/name_m]? I know that’s a pretty obvious suggestion so you have probably thought of it, but you didn’t mention it so I thought I would. I think it’s a beautiful name that sounds great with your other boys. Otherwise I thought of [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] (meaning ‘light’, so not exactly what you said but close I think).

I don’t think [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] can be considered an “angel” name though. However, it is the name of a Frankish saint.

I’m not sure about ethereal or angelic names for boys, but a favorite angel name for me is Israfel. Other angel names: [name_m]Adriel[/name_m], [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]. [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], [name_m]Hezekiah[/name_m], [name_u]Micah[/name_u]. I knew a boy in high school named Evangelo.

Thank you everyone. I didn’t want to use any obvious names like the angel variations. I do like [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] and [name_f]Michaela[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I decided to stick with [name_m]Malachi[/name_m]. [name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] is a name we both love, he would have our initials and it’s not going to change. We’ve been sitting on it for about a year.

I just used [name_u]Angel[/name_u]. :slight_smile: I was looking for something that was associated with angels but nothing stood out at me. The meaning of [name_u]Angel[/name_u] actually ended up being perfect as well, it means “messenger”.
