Angelou/Malou/Milou?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],
Opinions on the following names, [name_f]Angelou[/name_f], [name_f]Malou[/name_f]/[name_f]Milou[/name_f]?
[name_m]How[/name_m] would you pronounce each name?
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the nn [name_u]Lou[/name_u] for a girl? Any other nn options?
What’s your preference?

[name_f]Angelou[/name_f] is far to associated with [name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Angelou[/name_f]; I wouldn’t use it unless I was a very big fan of her work. Personally I much prefer the other [name_u]Angel[/name_u]-names. Nickname options: [name_u]Angel[/name_u], [name_u]Angie[/name_u], [name_u]Ange[/name_u], Anjou.

[name_f]Malou[/name_f] and [name_f]Milou[/name_f] are adorable but [name_f]IMO[/name_f] far to cutesy to be full, formal names. I can’t see them age well. They would make cute nicknames for something like [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Louisa[/name_f], [name_f]Milana[/name_f], etc. Nickname options: [name_f]Mallie[/name_f], Mill, [name_f]Millie[/name_f].

[name_u]Lou[/name_u] makes a very cute nickname for girl. I personally love it as short for [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]/[name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Angelou[/name_f] is too surname-y for me and too similar to the very masculine [name_m]Angelo[/name_m].

I love [name_f]Milou[/name_f] (I would say Me-[name_u]LOU[/name_u]) and have become very interested in this and also [name_f]Malou[/name_f] (I would say mah-[name_u]LOU[/name_u]). I think they are cute names and would stand out without sounding outlandish. They remind me of [name_f]Margo[/name_f]. [name_u]Lou[/name_u] is a fun nickname for a little girl, or [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]!
