Anna, Anne-Marie, or Annemarie?

Which do you prefer? Not looking at other variants.

I prefer the simplicity of [name_f]Anna[/name_f]!

I adore [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. I’m personally not too fond of hyphenated or smooched (for lack of a better word) names. You could use [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] or [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] ____ and call her [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. I have several names of my girls list like this; [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Edie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Indie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] to name a few.

I really like the sweet, clear simplicity of [name_f]Anna[/name_f]

I also prefer the simplicity of [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. It is beautiful and timeless.

I love [name_f]Anna[/name_f], I don’t really like the other two.

[name_f]Anna[/name_f], and then [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Anna[/name_f], followed be [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f]. I like the hyphen in there so it doesn’t look crammed together. Both are very elegant names.

I met an [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] (mid 50s) the other day, it made me all happy to hear such a lovely name. It’s a name you don’t hear very often, imo.

All are great names though, you can’t go wrong.

I really love [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f]. I think that it is really beautiful and classic. It also lends itself well to [name_f]Anne[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] as a nickname.

I like [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] and [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] better than [name_f]Anna[/name_f], which just feels way too common and a bit boring for me- I’ve known more Annas than I can count. [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] feels more punchy and no-nonsense to me, [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] more elegant and reserved. I say them with different stress- [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] is [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]MaRIE[/name_f], while [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] is [name_f]ANNEmarie[/name_f], if that sways your decision.

My little sister is named [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and she’s a sweetheart so i’m going to give you my extremely biased opinion and say [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. Although the others are lovely too!

[name_f]Annemarie[/name_f]! It’s a very sweet-sounding name that’s unique and has plenty of nicknames.
I know a lot of Annas so it doesn’t feel very exciting to me. And I’m not a fan of hyphenated names.

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] is lovely, simple but a bit too common for me. [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] just feels long, so the hyphonated [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] gets my vote. Because both [name_f]Anne[/name_f] and [name_f]Marie[/name_f] are short names, they work just fine as one name. That being said, you probably are already aware that an [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] would likely get shortened to [name_f]Anne[/name_f] or [name_f]Annie[/name_f]. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is more like to just stay [name_f]Anna[/name_f]

[name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] (I prefer [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] the best). [name_f]Anna[/name_f]'s always a nice, easy name, but like a few other names I like(d), eg [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_u]Noah[/name_u], they lose their sparkle once it feels like “Everyone’s name/Middle name”. [name_f]Anna[/name_f], already close to [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] is starting to get that felling for me, and I would actually love to meet a little [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f]. It’s one of those names that’s as ready for revival as [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], but never really got there for no real reason even though it’s not really hated by most others like [name_f]Gertrude[/name_f], [name_f]Mildred[/name_f] and even [name_f]Myrtle[/name_f].

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] is my favorite, but I also like [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f].

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] is my favourite. Of the others I prefer [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] - I feel it is less likely to be broken apart than the hyphenated version.

Another vote for [name_f]Anna[/name_f]!

More love for [name_f]Anna[/name_f]!

I’m going to buck the trend; I don’t care for [name_f]Anna[/name_f] & never have. There’s something about the way the letters look that I find to be a turnoff, & in my mind all I hear is “[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Banana[/name_f].”

Of the other two, I like [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] better than [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f], but both are quite nice…quiet & elegant, as a pp put it.
