I like the short and streamlined look of [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]. [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] is the frillier version (so if you love frilly names, [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] would be the better choice for you). My first instinct when writing it would be [name_f]Annabel[/name_f].

I also prefer the streamlined [name_f]Annabel[/name_f].

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is my fave spelling. My first instinct when writing it would be [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] too.

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]! Funny story, I go by [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] professionally (about half the time, lol)–mainly because when I got my current job I was still considering changing my name, and I wanted to try out [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], and it stuck. I would say about 75% of the time when I give “[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]” at a restaurant when they ask for a name or whatever, they spell it [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], so I would say that is more intuitive, maybe? I’ve gotten [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] a handful of times, and [name_f]Anabelle[/name_f] once. But it seems like most spell it [name_f]Annabel[/name_f].

I used to prefer [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], but these days it just feels too frilly to me, which is odd, because for just about every other [name_f]Belle[/name_f] name out there, I prefer the -belle ending ([name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f], etc.). [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is gorgeous. (Although I’m biased lol.)

I prefer the [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] spelling, no real reason why though.

I prefer [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]. [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] is very frilly and feels more dated, where [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] looks chic and modern to me. I also think [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is more versatile - I can see it on a librarian, an actress, a supreme court justice just as easily as I can on a thirteen year old girl or a toddler.

Strangely, although I’m not normally a frilly names sort of person, I prefer the [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] spelling. It seems more intuitive, and I like that the double ‘l’ balances with the double ‘n’. Having said that, I love both spellings, and I really don’t think you will find a clear majority on the most common spelling of this name, so I would go with the one which works best for you.
Good luck choosing!

I think I prefer [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], gosh this is tough! [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] is a little too frilly for me, having 2 N’s and 2 L’s. [name_f]Anabelle[/name_f] seems a little less dressed up to me. I want to say overall [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is most likely my favorite, but I’m not for sure about that yet.

I’m a very frilly namer, so I highly prefer [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]! Personally, I would ask any [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] how to spell her name, since there are a couple popular spellings =]

There’s always going to be people who assume one or the other with many names. I think [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] is one of the simpler names with multiple spellings (from what I’ve seen). I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you, honestly!
