I like it a lot, it’s on my list. I also like [name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Amabel[/name]. Oh and [name]Mabel[/name]. I know what you’re going through, several people have told me that it sounds like the name of a cow as well including my sister. I simply don’t care. It’s beautiful to me which is all that matters and your friends and family will get used to it. At the moment it’s only on my middle name list as there are many names I like better. [name]Mabel[/name] is on my first name list.

I like [name]Annabel[/name] a lot, but prefer the spelling [name]Anabelle[/name]. Also, isn’t “useable” spelled usable? Well, that’s irrelevant, but maybe it’s spelled both ways? Anyway, [name]Annabel[/name] is a beautiful choice. Good luck :)!
I too prefer the [name]Annabelle[/name] spelling, and [name]Annabella[/name] would get farther away from it sounding like a “cow name” as your family said. By the way - that is NOT the image I get 
[name]Annabel[/name]/[name]Annabelle[/name] is a lovely name but it is getting more popular. If you want something similar but less popular, I’d suggest [name]Arabella[/name].
I am the mother of an [name]Annabel[/name]. Obviously, I adore the name, but most others seem to as well. I don’t see how [name]Annabel[/name] would be any more of a cow name than [name]Isabel[/name]/[name]Isabelle[/name].

I want to love it. We are considering it. Rather – I am considering it. I love [name]Annabel[/name] for its ‘[name]Anna[/name]’. I love it on paper. It is beautiful when spelled with the one ‘l’. [name]Annabel[/name] – so pretty written. Yet when I hear it aloud, it sounds too frou-frou for me. Too frilly, in a way that [name]Isabel[/name] doesn’t. I don’t understand why, exactly. For me it is one of those names which is gorgeous written, but too fluffy when pronounced. Senator [name]Annabel[/name]? [name]Doctor[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]? I know that is a silly ‘test’ of a name, but for me the name lacks a bit of gravitas. It’s very popular in the UK, especially on the Telegraph baby announcements, so my opinion is probably way off!
[name]Annabel[/name] is a GORGEOUS name! It is not a cow’s name. You would be making a great choice if you named your daughter [name]Annabel[/name], it’s lovely!!

I’ve never heard [name]Annabel[/name] in reference to a cow. It’s very pretty and not being too widely used at the moment.
A cow? What? That doesn’t even make sense, and would never cross my mind. [name]Annabel[/name] is a lovely name.
I think [name]Annabel[/name] is fine. I prefer this spelling or [name]Anabel[/name]; I think the name borders on very frilly, which is not my style, and [name]Annabelle[/name] just exacerbates that. I love [name]Ana[/name]/ [name]Anna[/name] on its own much better.
I love [name]Annabel[/name]! If [name]Isabelle[/name] wasn’t my top choice I’m fairly sure [name]Annabel[/name] (or maybe [name]Arabella[/name]) would be in my top 5–I think it’s utterly gorgeous. I have heard the cow thing but it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, and I’ve heard so much love for it on this site in the past year or so that I’d honestly blocked it out, lol. I really don’t think it’s a big deal–[name]Annabel[/name] is such a perfect name!

I think they’re actually thinking of [name]Clarabelle[/name] - I’m pretty sure that’s the name of a well-known animated cow from an old Disney cartoon or something along those lines.
[name]Annabel[/name] is fine, and I also don’t get the cow connection.
I am getting a bit tired of it myself, as I know a few and feel like it + its iterations pop up on naming sites CONSTANTLY.

[name]Annabel[/name] is an adorable name. I have a friend who’s pregnant and her top 2 names are [name]Annabel/name and [name]Clara[/name]. When she told me that, I was so excited. I somehow think that it doesn’t age as well as [name]Isabel[/name] or [name]Isobel[/name], but it’s really cute and nice. Good luck!
I adore the name [name]Annabel[/name]. Like vivimay, I don’t get the cow reference…if you’d said [name]Bessie[/name], that would be another story. But [name]Annabel[/name] is lovely and totally un-bovine to me.
