Annabelle/Annabel/Anabel or Hazel?

Hello berries!

I am trying to decide between [name]Annabel[/name] (spelling?) and [name]Hazel[/name]. What are your feelings on these names? Which fits best with my other name choices of [name]Callum[/name], [name]Jude[/name], [name]Tobias[/name], [name]Lila[/name], and [name]Margaret[/name] (nn [name]Maisie[/name] or [name]Pearl[/name])?

Honest opinions, please

Thanks!

I love the name [name]Annabelle[/name] <3 … not as much as I love the name Annabeth, but I can totally see these names together:

Callum, Jude, Tobias, Lila, Maisie, and Annabelle

Hazel also works for this as well … in fact, I think Hazel works better than Annabelle!

Callum, Jude, Tobias, Lila, Maisie, and Hazel

… yep, Hazel wins! <3

I like [name]Annabelle[/name]/ [name]Annabel[/name] best.
I have been rethinking [name]Annabelle[/name]/ [name]Annabel[/name] as a FN, it has such a great meaning. It has the ability to be formal as the full name, yet has many nicknames to suit a sporty tomboy- [name]Ann[/name], a girly girl [name]Bella[/name], a young woman [name]Anna[/name]/ [name]Annie[/name]. I like it’s versatility.
The [name]Annabelle[/name] spelling is frilly and lends itself to [name]Belle[/name]/ [name]Bella[/name] nicknames more easily, although [name]Anna[/name]/ [name]Annie[/name]/ [name]Ann[/name] would still work.
The [name]Annabel[/name] spelling is spunky, it is shorter and lends itself to a [name]Anna[/name]/ [name]Annie[/name]/ [name]Ann[/name] nicknames more easily.
Still on the fence on which spelling I prefer- but leaning towards [name]Annabelle[/name].
Actually the whole spelling issue is one reason I went off the name- I am determined to choose a name that will be spelled correctly most of the time and [name]Annabel[/name]/le debate meant it didn’t meet this criteria for me.

Hmmm… Personally I prefer [name]Annabelle[/name], but looking at the rest of your names I think [name]Hazel[/name] fits best.

I think siblings named [name]Tobias[/name], [name]Maisie[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] would be perfect!

I love both names, and am also considering them!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Hazel[/name], and the spelling [name]Annabel[/name] best.

Can’t really go wrong with either.

Congrats and good luck!

I prefer [name]Annabelle[/name]. That spelling looks more complete than the others to me. I know [name]Hazel[/name] is becoming popular again, but I still think it sounds a bit outdated.

I prefer [name]Hazel[/name], and I think it works better with your list.

I would say [name]Hazel[/name]. I have a friend named [name]Annabelle[/name], and she HATES her name! She has gone by [name]Anna[/name] since I met her in grade school. I agree with [name]Anna[/name] that her full name is a bit too much/ a little too girly. [name]Hazel[/name] is short and sweet. I like it! It also goes well with your other names.

I really like [name]Annabel[/name] (and prefer this spelling) but [name]Hazel[/name] is a huge favourite of mine and edges out [name]Annabel[/name].

And beats [name]Annabelle[/name] hands down, at least for me. But my husband and I clashed on that one, lol.

[name]Hazel[/name] - I like the spunkiness, the z, the nature name (and hazel trees are very pretty trees) and the colour name.

[name]Annabel[/name] - I like the tailored crispness of this spelling. It doesn’t look like two names mashed together. It isn’t cruising on the popularity of the -belle names. It is very feminine, but not frilly, like a little cocktail dress that’s streamlined.

[name]Annabelle[/name] - okay, it’s pretty. But its a bit sugary for me. My husband feels it looks more complete and more “real” - I might do this one if I were naming after a [name]Belle[/name]/[name]Bella[/name] specifically. But normally, I prefer [name]Annabel[/name], just as I prefer [name]Isabel[/name] to [name]Isabella[/name].
