I prefer it spelled [name_f]Annalie[/name_f] myself. =] Unless you need the -lee spelling, I’d go with that. If you need the -lee in there, I’d go with [name_f]Annalee[/name_f].
Edit: it might be beneficial to note that I automatically pronounce this AH-nah-lee, not AN-uh-lee.
I kinda prefer it [name_f]Annalee[/name_f], but think it would be better to have the hyphen in there to add a physical break between [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_u]Lee[/name_u]. In my mind, it makes the “anally” jokes a bit less likely (sorry to bring that up…).
[name_f]Annalea[/name_f] is my fave (and people where I’m from have always pronounced it anna-lee)
I prefer [name_f]Annelie[/name_f]. You might like Anneline.
No need to apologize We’re well aware of the possibility of teasing, but don’t think it will be a big deal if it’s in the middle.
I like the [name_f]Annelie[/name_f] spelling best but I’d go with [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] from your list (both of those spellings get you as far away from ‘anal’ as possible!).
I would say [name_f]Annelie[/name_f] looks the best.
There’s also the surname name Annerley, if you’re into that…
My favorite is the Scandinavian [name_f]Anneli[/name_f] <3 It’s farther removed from the negative connotations and more streamlined to boot. I haven’t the faintest idea why it isn’t more popular.
I prefer [name_f]Annelie[/name_f]
I prefer [name_f]Annelie[/name_f]/[name_f]Anneli[/name_f].
Definitely [name_f]Anneli[/name_f]
My favorite is [name_f]Annelie[/name_f]! I knew a very sweet girl named [name_f]Annelie[/name_f]- spelled this way- and everyone always pronounced her name as [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-lee.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_u]Lee[/name_u] is my favourite. It’s a lovely name!
I also can’t unheard the “anally” joke, so personally that’s not something I am gonna use. I prefer putting something in the middle, like [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u], or change it to something similar like [name_f]Annalise[/name_f].
[name_f]Annaleigh[/name_f] is the only one I’ve seen/heard of, I’m surprised at all these variations.
I also saw [name_f]Annaleigh[/name_f] once and thought it was beautiful!
[name_f]Annelie[/name_f] or [name_f]Annalie[/name_f]
