Anneliese vs Annabelle

I think I may have mastered how to make a poll… :crossed_fingers:

  • [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]

If you voted [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] what is your preferred spelling?

Annabelle, but I prefer the spelling [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] personally. I know you were asking about the spelling of [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] (which I also love!), but just thought I’d still comment on it :slightly_smiling_face:.

I like both but voted for [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] as I like it more than the [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] spelling. If it was [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] I’d probably put it first.

I prefer [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], and I go back and forth on whether that’s my favorite spelling or [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]. Really, I like all spellings.

For [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], I’m not a huge fan of -belle names in general, they feel overly frilly to me, and I do markedly prefer [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] because I think that eliminates some of the fussiness.

I’m the same! One minute I love the classic [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] spelling and then the next I question the ‘lies’ part and the negative connotation associated! Also preferring it with an A rather than AnnE Thanks for your input!

I voted [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] and I do prefer that spelling. When I see it spelled other ways, it looks too much like the word ‘analyze’. I could see people struggling with the pronunciation because of this, whereas [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] seems like a very pretty and also phonetic spelling.
