What do people think about the name Antalya? My partner and I really like the sound of it, with the nickname [name]Talya[/name]. But wondering how it sounds to others. Thanks!
I’ve never heard of it, but Google tells me it’s a sea resort in Turkey.
I don’t know why, but when I look at it I think of Ayatollah. That’s probably just me.
I would prefer something like [name]Atalaya[/name], maybe. Or just [name]Talya[/name]/[name]Talia[/name].
Antalya is a Turkish province and a pretty well known one too. I must admit I am not a fan.
I think it’s a pretty name. [name]Do[/name] you have a tie to that region? I personally love place names
I like it, but since it’s a place name I wouldn’t use it myself. I had Attalia on my list, some sites list it as a variant.
I like it, so pretty and uncommon.
I like the style. It is unique. But maybe you could work on the spelling so that way it is a unique but not weird name. My goal in baby names is to find something unique that’s not from another planet. Good luck and congrats on baby!
It has a nice sound, but the spelling looks like it could be a typo of [name]Natalya[/name].
I’ve been too Antalya many times, so at first I had troubles seeing it as a name for a baby. But…I actually quite like Antalya as a name. It sounds…namey. I’d say go for it. And [name]Talya[/name] is lovely.
That is very true! I actually prefer [name]Natalya[/name]/[name]Natalia[/name].
