I voted for [name]Althea[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Marie[/name] for these reasons: (1) the name has the best flow;(2) the Greek meaning of “with healing power”; (3) the nn [name]Thea[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is beautiful and (4) it goes well with your son’s names. I knew an [name]Anthea[/name] in my childhood years and the name lost its appeal for me. [name]Calista[/name] has a great meaning “most beautiful” but the name is still heavily associated with actress [name]Calista[/name] Flockhart. Good luck, [name]Mischa[/name].
I like them all but for all different reasons!
I like [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Marie[/name] because I like the nickname “[name]Annie[/name]”
I like [name]Althea[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Marie[/name] because I like the whole name “[name]Althea[/name]” and I think it flows the best and “[name]Thea[/name] [name]Rose[/name]” is super cute!
I like [name]Calista[/name] [name]Roselle[/name] [name]Marie[/name] because I like the nickname “[name]Callie[/name]-[name]Rose[/name]” but I dislike “[name]Roselle[/name]” it reminds me of rosette and [name]Roswell[/name] like the city in New Mexico
They are all amazing names and I think I like [name]Althea[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Marie[/name] the best by a smidge. It has “[name]Al[/name]” for [name]Alice[/name], “[name]Thea[/name]” for [name]Matthew[/name], “[name]Rose[/name]” for your mother and “[name]Marie[/name]” for you. Although technically you do have all those parts in the other two names too!! AHHHH!
[name]May[/name] I ask why you like “[name]Callie[/name]” and not “[name]Allie[/name]”? I’m just curious because to me they are essentially the same sound.
1 [name]Althea[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
2 [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
3 [name]Calista[/name] [name]Roselle[/name] [name]Marie[/name] unless it was [name]Calista[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Marie[/name] or [name]Calista[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Marie[/name] then it would be 2 and [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Marie[/name] would be 3 because I like “[name]Callie[/name]” better than “[name]Annie[/name]”
Sorry didn’t mean to give you more options, just “thinking (and typing)” “out loud”
Best of luck- Are you having a girl? Or don’t know? [name]Do[/name] we get to do this again for the boy? Or do you have a boy name?
I think all of them work well with your son’s names. I for some reason am not partial to [name]Althea[/name], it sounds more masculine to me than the other two. [name]Both[/name] [name]Calista[/name] and [name]Anthea[/name] are pretty, I think I prefer [name]Anthea[/name] though as it is more unusual. I know you were trying to honor your husband, so did you ever consider [name]Mattea[/name]? I think it’s super cute and has the charming nn [name]Mattie[/name]. [name]Just[/name] a thought. Best of luck!
@k_lyn - I don’t want her to be confused with [name]Alison[/name] and I grew up with an [name]Alison[/name] that went by [name]Ali[/name] and I couldn’t stand her. [name]Cali[/name] sounds more feminine to me as well. I will be doing this for a boy, LOL, but not as much. I have a huge list of already combined names so it would just be narrowing them down rather than figuring them out then narrowing them down.
@[name]Nix[/name] - Know I didn’t. I actually like that but my husband might not go for it. My oldest was suppose to be a girl and we had picked a name that had the NN [name]Maddie[/name] and [name]Matt[/name] was kind of weirded out when I would call “her” [name]Maddie[/name]. I will definitely see if he likes it though. Thank you.
I don’t want her to be confused with [name]Alison[/name] and I grew up with an [name]Alison[/name] that went by [name]Ali[/name] and I couldn’t stand her.
 LOL- [name]Do[/name] you happen to live in MN??? I had to laugh when I read that because I know an [name]Ali[/name] who’s whole name is [name]Alison[/name] and I also couldn’t stand her! However, I coached an [name]Ally[/name] who was a great kid! I know it doesn’t change the sound of the name, but when I see “[name]Ali[/name]” I cringe and when I see “[name]Ally[/name]” I smile. Funny how little things make such a big difference.
Either way- I like [name]Althea[/name] [name]Rose[/name] best.
It’s interesting that you chose [name]Althea[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] to go together since [name]Althea[/name] is the Latin name of the [name]Rose[/name] of [name]Sharon[/name] shrub…My mother-in-law was [name]Beulah[/name] [name]Althea[/name] and she confided in me once that she’d wished she’d been called [name]Althea[/name]. And I love the nn [name]Thea[/name].
I do hope that you spell [name]Gabriel[/name] correctly, though, if you choose [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name].
@Miloowen - [name]Isaiah[/name] already exists and I did spell it with the extra e. To me, and I could be thinking about this the wrong way, [name]Gabriel[/name] is pronounced [name]Gab[/name]-ree -elle because there is not a letter making the A take the long A sound so I added the extra E so it is pronounced Gayb-ree-ul. I hate misspelled names but it’s his middle so I didn’t worry about it too much.
@k_lyn - LOL. No I grew up in CT. [name]Alison[/name] was pretty big in the 80’s, when I was born, so I’m sure there are a lot of them floating around.
