Anthea or Althea?

I like the nicknames [name]Allie[/name] & [name]Annie[/name] so it’s hard for me to decide which one I prefer. If we ever used it then the NN would probably be [name]Thea[/name] anyway.

I love both but was wondering which one you prefer?

Prefer [name]Althea[/name].

I like the nn [name]Annie[/name] better, but he name [name]Althea[/name] better. I would choose [name]Althea[/name].

I prefer [name]Althea[/name] also.

I think both are pretty, but I prefer [name]Althea[/name]'s meaning and [name]Anthea[/name] looks a bit like Aunt [name]Thea[/name] or Ant [name]Hea[/name] so I feel like it’s more likely to be mispronounced.

Thirding [name]Althea[/name]. I too like [name]Annie[/name] better than [name]Allie[/name], but if you’re going to use [name]Thea[/name], then it doesn’t matter.

Definitely [name]Althea[/name]!

Thanks so far guys! Looks like [name]Althea[/name] is preferred! I find [name]Althea[/name] slightly easier to pronounce too, which might be a winning factor. [name]Althea[/name] seems to roll off the tongue nicely [name]IMO[/name]. (If that even makes sense? ahah)

Agree with this! I adore both [name]Anthea[/name] and [name]Althea[/name], though.

[name]Althea[/name] would be my choice.

[name]Althea[/name], though I do like [name]Athena[/name] better

I love both [name]Anthea[/name] and [name]Althea[/name], but I think I like [name]Althea[/name] a little bit more. [name]Althea[/name] does roll off the tongue very nicely. It’s almost a little more musical, if that makes sense?

Hmmm I prefer [name]Althea[/name]. But I do love [name]Annie[/name]. Maybe [name]Antonina[/name] for [name]Annie[/name]?

I have also met an [name]Alithea[/name], not sure of the spelling? Eleithia? No idea. An older Southern woman.

[name]Althea[/name] is pretty !

They’re both lovely, but I slightly prefer [name]Althea[/name]. I love the nn [name]Thea[/name].

I’d choose [name]Anthea[/name] personally. I love the nickname [name]Annie[/name].

I prefer [name]Anthea[/name].

I don’t really care for the nickname [name]Annie[/name], but I love [name]Anthea[/name]. [name]Love[/name] it’s meaning, love it’s gentle sound.

[name]Anthea[/name] for sure! The “alth” in [name]Althea[/name] is kind of awkward to say and incomplete almost. [name]Anthea[/name] is gorgeous, and [name]Annie[/name] is adorable!

Hmmm, I like them both but prefer [name]Althea[/name]. I’m not a huge fan of [name]Allie[/name] though.

[name]Anthea[/name]!

I like [name]Thea[/name] and I love [name]Allie[/name], but I don’t like [name]Althea[/name] for some reason…
