Antoinette?

Hi everyone! I have just added a new name to my list, which is Antoinette! What are your honest thoughts on this name? I was concerned it might be too long or too complicated to spell, but I didn’t think it would be that big of an issue. I love the nicknames Ettie and Etta!

i quite like it!

I like [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] a lot! It’s been growing on me, and I’ve been trying to decide if I like [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] or [name_u]Antonia[/name_u] more. Both so beautiful! I definitely don’t think it’s too long or complicated to spell, it’s only a tiny bit longer than common names like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], and is the same length as [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]. [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] are such sweet nicknames!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! Also love [name_u]Antonia[/name_u], [name_f]Antonina[/name_f], and [name_f]Antonella[/name_f], with [name_u]Antonia[/name_u] being my fave

Its a cutie classic

[name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] is elegant and bold

i love antoinette! i would use annie or etta as a nickname!

I adore this name. It’s so feminine and strong.

Great name. We have both [name_f]Bernadette[/name_f] and [name_f]Antonina[/name_f] on our list.

I really love [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f]! I think it is such a beautiful name with multiple lovely nickname options. It is a longer name for sure, but I think it’s doable to teach a child to spell and say. Especially if you’re going with a nickname like [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] or [name_f]Etta[/name_f].

I think it’s a pretty and unusual name, though the [name_u]Marie[/name_u] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] association is a bit unfortunate, given the way she died.

I don’t think it’s too long. Perhaps some people won’t know how to spell/pronounce it but I can’t imagine that being a huge issue since most people have probably heard of [name_u]Marie[/name_u] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f].

I really like it! Don’t think it’s too long and it’s quite familiar so I don’t see too many spelling complications. [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] are adorable as well!!
