I am considering the name [name]Clara[/name] for my 2nd daughter, due to arrive by the 30th. I am just concerned that she will be lumped in with all the [name]Clare[/name]/Claires out there. I love the name [name]Claire[/name], I just hear it [name]WAY[/name] too much, I personally know many many Claires young and old, and especially little girls, ages 5 and under. So I also adore [name]Clara[/name] and how it has more of a vintage feel to it, and I love the -a ending to it.
So I just wanted to see if anyone had any personal experience with the name [name]Clara[/name]?
Because my first daughter’s name is [name]Evangeline[/name], we call her [name]Evie[/name], and it absolutely drives me NUTS when people make comments that they can never remember her name b/c of all the little [name]Ava[/name] and Evas out there right now.
I know a baby [name]Clara[/name] & a baby [name]Cara[/name], but all of the Claires I know (quite a few!) Are a bit older.
I’ve also met 3 baby Fionas in the past month or so!
I almost used [name]Beatrice[/name] 6 months ago when I had my baby!
Out of your list I am most partial to [name]Beatrice[/name], but [name]Clara[/name] is very sweet. I like it much more ttthan [name]Claire[/name]. I doubt anyone would confuse them!
Really 3 baby Fionas??? Wow I had no idea it was thaat popular! I definitely thought [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name] were more popular for babies right now…

The funny thing is they are from all over- [name]Brooklyn[/name], [name]North[/name] NJ & one I met at the [name]Jersey[/name] shore so I don’t know where they were from! Maybe a tri-stare area thing? All of them were adorable with really hip parents. My daughter is named [name]Leonie[/name] which has a similar sound so I ended up talking names with all three moms! I think it’s really soft & pretty.
I know 5 [name]Clara[/name]'s it is very popular here for girls 5 and under around here…as a matter of fact I my [name]Clayre[/name] is the only little [name]Claire[/name] around and she is called [name]Clara[/name] all the time. I don’t know any [name]Clara[/name]'s but I think of the girl in the Nutcracker. Sometimes I called a friend [name]Clara[/name] as a joke from when we were in the Nutcracker together years ago. I love the name!

My one of my best friends has a 2-year old cousin [name]Clara[/name], and she’s completely adorable. I know a million Claires, but no other Claras I can think of.
I know 2 [name]Clara[/name]'s under 5 and 2 [name]Fiona[/name]'s under 2. I have a 2 year old [name]Claire[/name] and haven’t met any others under the age 16 or so. We are in Ny and I find popularity so regional. It’s so hard to predict.
