I completely agree that using my own name does help with an explanation to family about pivoting away from the original name. At the end of the day, I don’t think people can be upset with me for deciding to include myself [name_f][/name_f]- the person who grew and birthed her! [name_f][/name_f]- in her name instead of others.
[name_f][/name_f]With that said, the grandparents have let on that they don’t really like the name [name_f]Stevie[/name_f] all that much and would prefer something more classic/traditional for her and that we can/should change it if we want…so I honestly don’t think anyone will be that disappointed regardless. It was even suggested that maybe we use [name_f]Stevie[/name_f] for a future pet instead [name_f][/name_f] So this is why I have been feeling like perhaps a name more connected to myself (Margaret, [name_f]Margot[/name_f], etc.) or my husband and I together (June) would be more fitting.
Your suggestions of [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] are both lovely! We are thinking about them!
