We are thrilled to find out we are expecting our second daughter. We love love love our first daughters name, [name]Finley[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and feel that we want a name that we love equally. We really like the name [name]Quinn[/name], but it doesn’t flow with our #1 middle name choice, [name]Jane[/name]. Here are some of our thoughts:
We are just not sure that we like any of the “[name]Quinn[/name]” variations as well as we like just “[name]Quinn[/name]”. We have one middle name so far, that we might consider with “[name]Quinn[/name]”.
What about two middle names [name]Jane[/name] being the second? Such as [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Amadea[/name] [name]Jane[/name] for example. My daughter is [name]Quinn[/name] and I agree - none of the variations are as nice
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Amadea[/name] is perfect! Does [name]Jane[/name] have any personal meaning? If not I’d just leave it behind, it’s a lovely name but very filler. I also would advise against messing with [name]Quinn[/name] too much, it’s already kind of similar to [name]Finley[/name] and turning it into Quinley or [name]Quincy[/name] would just exaggerate that, [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Jane[/name] means God’s gracious gift and we feel this baby girl is just that. Especially, since I was just put on strict bed rest for the duration of my pregnancy. We have 20 more weeks to go.
Well, Quinley and [name]Finley[/name] would just be too much. As for [name]Quincy[/name], I think of [name]John[/name] [name]Quincy[/name] [name]Adams[/name] so it sounds masculine to me. And even though I know [name]Quinlyn[/name] is legitimate, it just sounds a little made up to me and I’m not really a fan of the sound. What about [name]Quinna[/name] [name]Jane[/name]? I think that has a better flow. Or maybe some variations of [name]Jane[/name] (international variations and similar names) -

[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Janica[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Gianna[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Johanna[/name]

However, [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Amadea[/name] is also very pretty! And I agree with the suggestion of [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Amadea[/name] [name]Jane[/name] - very nice!
I really like the name [name]Quinn[/name], but I’d recommend looking for another option. [name]Quinn[/name] (and all the variations) sounds very rhyme-y with [name]Finley[/name].
[name]ITA[/name] with this. [name]Finley[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name] are too rhyme-y, and the variations on [name]Quinn[/name] are just too much. [name]Jane[/name] is lovely, though. Would you consider it as a first name? You could do [name]Jane[/name] [name]Quincy[/name] and call her [name]Quinn[/name] as a nn sometimes.
I’m not sure if you’re specifically after Irish names, but that’s what came to mind when I saw [name]Finley[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name]. Did you know that the very Irish name [name]Siobhan[/name] (pronounced sha-von) is the Irish variant of the name [name]Jane[/name]? [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Siobhan[/name] would have a much nicer flow than [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. However, I didn’t think of it until others mentioned it but I do agree that [name]Finley[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name] are a bit rhymey… especially if you choose Quinley!
No to the spin on [name]Quinn[/name]. They are all too rhymey with [name]Finley[/name].
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Amadea[/name] is nice. [name]Do[/name] you always call your daughter [name]Finley[/name], or is she just “[name]Fin[/name]” sometimes? If so, I’d pass on [name]Quinn[/name].
I like the sound of [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Amadea[/name], with our without [name]Jane[/name] as a second MN.
I personally don’t think the variations you mention go too well with [name]Finlay[/name].
Other possibilities may be [name]Quinta[/name] [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Qiana[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. (though neither of these variations work with [name]Amadea[/name]).
A previous poster mentioned [name]Aquinnah[/name], which I think is beautiful, more distinct and better with sister [name]Finley[/name]. If [name]Finley[/name] ever decides to go by [name]Fin[/name]/[name]Finn[/name], you have rhyme-y, matchy set [name]Quinn[/name] and [name]Finn[/name]. I would scratch [name]Quinn[/name], especially Quinley or [name]Quincy[/name].
