Any thoughts?

Any opinions on the following names…

[name]Francesca[/name] ([name]Frances[/name] is a family name that I’m warming too, but if I were to ever have a [name]Frances[/name] she would always be known as [name]Frankie[/name] and that’s pretty much the same for [name]Francesca[/name] too) [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name], [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Olwen[/name] [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Olwen[/name]?

[name]Agnes[/name] (too old lady?) [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Wren[/name], [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] - I understand that [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name] is the daughter of [name]Jennifer[/name] [name]Connelly[/name] and [name]Paul[/name] Bettany but is that really a problem?

[name]Harriet[/name] (I keep hearing it in the UK and can’t work out if it’s a trendy one here?!) [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Fleur[/name], [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Adele[/name], [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Scout[/name], [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name]?

[name]Juno[/name] / [name]Jovie[/name] (I keep coming back to both names, and seem unable to let them go for some reason)

Also, which is your favourite…
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Mabel[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] [name]Snow[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Scout[/name]

Not into [name]Harriet[/name], I’m not fond of the ‘harry’ sound at all. I prefer [name]Henrietta[/name] or [name]Hester[/name]. Of he combos for [name]Harriet[/name], I like [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Adele[/name] most, but [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] is a little clunky, I might split them up at least or change [name]Georgina[/name] to something else. [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Adele[/name] would be my pick if I could mix it up a little. [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Lark[/name] [name]Adele[/name] or [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Lark[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] are also good.

I love [name]Francesca[/name], [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Olwen[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] is my favourite combo, but have you considered the alliterative [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Olwen[/name]? I really like that ^^

[name]Agnes[/name] is my favourite from your list, I agree with you on [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name], it’s perfection. It is too recognisable though, so I would go with [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Wren[/name] which is beautiful! With nn [name]Nessie[/name]/[name]Nessa[/name] I think [name]Agnes[/name] seems fresh rather than Old Lady, it’s not as clunky as [name]Hazel[/name] for example, and [name]Hazel[/name] is practically popular! ^^

I like [name]Juno[/name] more than [name]Jovie[/name], and I don’t see why you need to let any of them ‘go’. Beautiful names! [name]Juno[/name] [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Olwen[/name] or [name]Jovie[/name] [name]Shoshana[/name] [name]Lark[/name] would be stunning!

Edit: I forgot which Ottilie combo is my favourite, Ottilie Isadora Snow is really appealing, but I have to admit that Ottilie Francesca Mabel flows better. I think it might be the ‘ee’ sound at the end of Ottilie mixing with the ‘ee’ in the beginning of Isadora, and I think it would be better with something with two syllables at the end. Ottilie Arabella Juno would be better (with regards to flow)

Any opinions on the following names…

[name]Francesca[/name] - [name]Love[/name], [name]Love[/name], [name]Love[/name] [name]Francesca[/name]. [name]Francesca[/name] seems fresher and more spunky than [name]Frances[/name]. I like [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]. [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] has a lovely flow to it as well but tacking [name]Olwen[/name] on the end seems odd to me because both [name]Francesca[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] have a very “latin” feel to them to me and [name]Olwen[/name] is very Welsh. I also like [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] and [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Winter[/name] for other combinations.

[name]Agnes[/name] (too old lady?) [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Wren[/name], [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] - [name]Agnes[/name] is NMS. It reminds me of a medieval nun or something. But it was my great aunt’s name and she was a wonderful person. I think the nickname [name]Aggie[/name] is cute too. [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] sounds nice and I don’t think many people are going to know that [name]Jennifer[/name] [name]Connelly[/name] has a daughter named [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name] and its not a weird name to have so I don’t think its an issue.

[name]Harriet[/name] - [name]Harriet[/name] is NMS as well, but the nickname [name]Hattie[/name] is cute. There’s nothing wrong with it and its a nice vintage name. I like [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Scout[/name] and [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name]

[name]Juno[/name] / [name]Jovie[/name] - [name]Both[/name] these names seem a bit juvenile to me. They been adorable for a little girl but I couldn’t see it on a grown woman unless she was a fashion designer or a supermodel. I think they make for really cute spunky middle names though …something like [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Juno[/name] or [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Jovie[/name] [name]Wren[/name]

Also, which is your favourite…
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Mabel[/name]
&
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Scout[/name]

[name]Love[/name] [name]Francesca[/name]! My favourite combo is [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name].

Absolutely adore [name]Agnes[/name]! I think it’s so cute! [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Wren[/name], is gorgeous, I had this on my list before I moved [name]Ottilie[/name] to the first name spot.

[name]Adore[/name] [name]Harriet[/name]! <3 Harriet Georgina Fleur, Harriet Georgina Scout and Harriet Georgina Ruby are all gorgeous and you can’t go wrong with any of them.

Juno is not my style, but I think it’s a gorgeous, strong name. I’m not a big fan of Jovie, I’m sorry to say.

Ottilie Georgina Fleur, Ottilie Francesca Mabel (this has also been on my list), Ottilie Isadora Snow and Ottilie Georgina Scout (<3) are all beautiful!

[name]Francesca[/name] --Personally, I prefer [name]Frances[/name], unless the child is of Italian or Spanish descent (in which case, I love it!). To me, Fransesca is one of those names that has such a strong tie to one ethnicity that it seems odd to use it on a child who is not of that ethnic heritage (like a Chinese girl named [name]Olga[/name]–that type of deal). Have you considered [name]Francine[/name]? I’m in love with [name]Francine[/name]!

[name]Agnes[/name] – Not too old lady! The old lady names are fresh again, and [name]Agnes[/name] is sweet. I like [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name] [name]Sophia[/name].

[name]Harriet[/name] – This grew on me in the past year. I don’t know if it’s trending in the U.S., but I doubt it will get very high. I like it because of the tie to [name]Little[/name] House on the [name]Prairie[/name], and I love the nickname [name]Hattie[/name]. Of your combinations, I like [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Scout[/name].

[name]Juno[/name] / [name]Jovie[/name] – Hm, not a fan of [name]Juno[/name] because of the movie by the same name, but [name]Jovie[/name] is spunky and precious.

[name]Favorite[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] combo:
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]

[name]Francesca[/name] is gorgeous, but I agree with pp that it would be awkward to use if you are not Italian or Spanish. I also like [name]Frances[/name], but not the nn [name]Frankie[/name].

[name]Agnes[/name]: I can’t shake the old lady association, but I know a lot of other berries love it!

[name]Harriet[/name]: I also think old lady with [name]Harriet[/name], but I love the nn [name]Hattie[/name]! Not sure if it is trendy or not, but I have not met or heard of any little girls named [name]Harriet[/name] or [name]Hattie[/name] (I also don’t have kids yet, so I am not around kids all that much!).

[name]Juno[/name]/ [name]Jovie[/name]: love them both…I think I love [name]Jovie[/name] more!

[name]Favorite[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] combo = [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Laurel[/name]. Beautiful name!

The only names I really like from your lists are [name]Agnes[/name], [name]Juno[/name] and [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] [name]Snow[/name]. Those are gorgeous, but the rest of your names just aren’t my cup of tea- at all.

Prefer [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] (sorry to switch it).
No, [name]Agnes[/name] is not too old lady. [name]Love[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]. It’s perfect.

I’m not into [name]Harriet[/name]. (btw, I think this one is more ‘old lady’ than [name]Agnes[/name]).
[name]Love[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] [name]Snow[/name]. This would be my favourite among all of your combos.

I love [name]Francesca[/name]!

My thoughts…

[name]Francesca[/name] seems to be more of an italian or spanish decent. If you don’t have the accent it loses its prettiness. If you and your family have that ethnic background it would be lovely. Otherwise, it just might be a burden on a little girl. More classic, Americanized names might be [name]Frances[/name], [name]Francie[/name] or [name]Franny[/name]. My favorite would be [name]Francine[/name]. I absolutely love [name]Francine[/name] and would totally use it for a little girl!

[name]Agnes[/name] in my mind is an older lady’s name. I have a cousin who’s name was [name]Agnes[/name]. She was a nun who took on the name of [name]Ernestine[/name] after her vows. She actually passed away about 3 years ago at age 81. I would not use [name]Agnes[/name] for my child even though it is a family member’s nane.

[name]Harriet[/name] is also an older name. I know 2 Harriets and both are over the age of 70. [name]Harriet[/name] is ok if you are honoring the name [name]Harry[/name] or [name]Henry[/name], but I would change it up a bit. Something like Harie or [name]Harlie[/name] might be more updated.

[name]Juno[/name] and [name]Jovie[/name] are two that I totally love! [name]Juno[/name] is cute and has a meaning, and [name]Jovie[/name] though a made up name is so much cuter and stylish. I would certainly pick [name]Jovie[/name] for a little girl.

My favorite of your Ottilies is:

[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] [name]Snow[/name]

I believe that is a name with beauty, style, class and an updated image. My only thought about [name]Ottilie[/name] is that it reminds me of the song “Puff the [name]Magic[/name] Dragon” who lived by the sea in the land of [name]Ottilie[/name]!

[name]Francesca[/name] [name]Olwen[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] - I prefer the more solid [name]Frances[/name] to the frillier [name]Francesca[/name] but this combo is unexpected with [name]Olwen[/name] added to the mix.

[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Wren[/name] - I do like [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name] but I think the softer names of [name]Ottilie[/name] and [name]Wren[/name] soften the harsher tones of [name]Agnes[/name] a lot better.

[name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] - I love the addition of the French flavoured [name]Fleur[/name]. Since both [name]Harriet[/name] and [name]Georgina[/name] are both feminizations of male names, I think [name]Fleur[/name] (or [name]Adele[/name]) are good choices.

[name]Juno[/name] / [name]Jovie[/name] - I like [name]Juno[/name] but not [name]Jovie[/name] as a full name. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Jovita[/name] or [name]Jovanna[/name]?

I like the flow of these combos for [name]Ottilie[/name]:

[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] [name]Snow[/name]

I love [name]Frances[/name], and [name]Francesca[/name] even more! But I would find it strange on someone with no Italian heritage. My favourite of your combos is [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] but would prefer [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Ruby[/name].

I like [name]Agnes[/name], and it’s not too old lady. I prefer [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Wren[/name].

I’ve seen [name]Harriet[/name] a lot in UK birth announcements, but don’t live there so not sure about trendiness. I like it and my favourite combos are [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] and [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name].

I find [name]Juno[/name] and [name]Jovie[/name] too nicknamey.

My favourite is [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Fleur[/name], but I also like [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Laurel[/name] and [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Mabel[/name].

[name]EDIT[/name]: [name]How[/name] do I make the names show up in blue? I’ve heard some berries say it happens automatically but somehow it doesn’t for me.

you did it!

nameberry has clever software that automatically hyperlinks any word found in their name database… which is why random words like ‘one’ turn blue.

Strange… it didn’t on another thread when I went back to it. Thanks! Oh so that’s why I’ve seen random words turn blue…

My favorite of your combos:
[name]Francesca[/name]- [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name]
[name]Agnes[/name]-[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Harriet[/name]-[name]Harriet[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Adele[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name]-[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]

I think you can get away with [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Lark[/name] [name]Sophia[/name].[name]Jennifer[/name] [name]Connelly[/name] isn’t as famous as someone like [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Jolie[/name], so most people won’t make the connection.
