I love, love, love [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. I can picture a variety of men/boys with the name. I can picture a little boy playing in the mud, an athlete, or a literary, library bound man.
I love the variety. Unfortunately, my boyfriend shot me right down.
I’ve only known one [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] (back in high school), but he was pretty much exactly how you described. I had a crush on him for the longest time because he was so handsome and funny. He never went by [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], though, he was exclusively [name_u]Gabby[/name_u].
I love [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]! In my mind, I can see an adorable toddler with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a round face, with such a cute attitude. I think it’s a really great name, and it has tons of great literary connections! It’s been on my list for a while.
I have a [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. I had only known two and both were gorgeous, very kind men who were considerate and smart. Because of my hubby and I’s positive associations with the name we chose it for our first born. He is beautiful and kind in his own right. Blonde, curly hair, bright blue eyes, and an adorable button nose. He is sweet and charming and has an amazing vocabulary. He is so helpful and very concerned that we will always be together. I couldn’t have gone with anything else. I’m in love with my little [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] and wouldn’t change a thing!
I have a cousin named [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], and he is the loveliest, kindest, sweetest, funniest boy you could meet. He is an athlete, but is also very intellectual (a high achiever), with curly / floppy blonde hair and big brown eyes. He has definitely made me love the name.
[name_f]My[/name_f] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] is brown haired, brown eyed, thoughtful, super smart, values family time above everything, loyal, caring, and he’s a [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], not a [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]. People try to use [name_m]Gabe[/name_m], but he kindly corrects them.
I know so many [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]'s, all with their own individual personalities and auras, that it’s hard for me to form a single mental image of what a typical [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] would be like. But I think this is a good thing. It means the name is very versatile and could work on a multitude of different personality types. The name in itself, though, sounds kind of goody-goody to me, like the name of a Mama’s boy or something – though I’m sure the cool-kid nickname [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] will help with that. All of the [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]'s I know go by [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] anyway.
The only problem that I can see with [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], really, is the possible confusion with the girl name [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f].
