Anyone used pre-seed?

With my first daughter, I used an OPK and got pregnant on the first try. This time around, I used the OPK’s again and never got a positive. Being that my period was several days late, I presume I ovulated days later than usual which is (hopefully) why I didn’t get a positive test.

I decided to use pre-seed this month because I’ve heard/read so many success stories and last month was the first month I didn’t have my normal, obvious signs of ovulation (EWCM, cramps). Therefore, I thought the pre-seed would be our best bet.

Unfortunately, I got bored and did a little more research and see a lot of blog posts claiming it’s linked to miscarriages and/or children with developmental problems because it helps the “slow” sperm make it to fertilize the egg when in nature, there’s a reason they’re slow and shouldn’t make it. I was going to write it off but then a few posts I saw said they spoke with their doctor who claimed this and perhaps use as tiny amount as possible (not sure how the amount you use would make a difference?).

Anybody else use pre-seed or heard anything about it?

I use preseed as I take clomid and it seems to make me a little… um… dry! lol!

as far as I know ( it was suggested by my DR.) it simple replaces a lack of cervical fluid… it doesnt make slow sperm better… the fast sperm would still win! It just help those who need more moisture!

I used it while TTC my first. For us it wasn’t some miracle solution it took several more months of trying before we got pregnant (it took 8 months total). But my son is healthy.

Edited to add I can’t remember if you said before there is a reason you didn’t do temping but that for me was the miracle solution. So far each time I’ve done it I’ve gotten pregnant that month. Plus since you keep up with it all month you can tell even if you ovulate late, which happened to me the month I got pregnant with my current pregnancy.

We just started using it this cycle since other lubes can cause the sperm to slow down or kill the sperm off. Pre-seed doesn’t do that, it mimics your natural cervical fluid which allows them to swim normal or fast in their case. And is not toxic to the sperm. I heard it is highly recommended and see it mentioned on all sites in regards to getting pregnant. Well see if it helps this month. I also use OPK’s and I am debating on starting to temp although I do not know much about that.
