Which name do you prefer? What would you choose for a middle name? Would love your input!
I would choose [name]Ariel[/name]. I think it’s beautiful and underappreciated.
I like [name]Arielle[/name] best, followed by [name]Arabelle[/name], followed by [name]Ariel[/name].
I think of [name]Ariel[/name] as a boy’s name honestly. It’s like [name]Gabriel[/name]/[name]Gabrielle[/name] for me.
I’ve known a few guys named Ariel.
I like [name]Arabelle[/name] better. I knew an [name]Ariel[/name] and she was teased a lot because of the little mermaid.
[name]Arabelle[/name] feels more modern/current to me. And I like that her nn could be belle instead of [name]Ari[/name]. I [name]DO[/name] think of The [name]Little[/name] Mermaide as well when I hear the name [name]Ariel[/name], but I don’t think your daughters generation would associate it quite as much, maybe though it is a classic Disney movie. Best of [name]Luck[/name].
I find [name]Arabelle[/name] a bit too frilly for my taste.
[name]Ariel[/name]/[name]Arielle[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name]
[name]Ariel[/name]/[name]Arielle[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Ariel[/name]/[name]Arielle[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Ariel[/name]/[name]Arielle[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
I love [name]Arielle[/name]. [name]Ariel[/name] reminds me of [name]Little[/name] Mermaid of course, but [name]Arielle[/name] actually sounds even more feminine and beautiful because you have that “elle” sound at the end.
For middle names I like [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Jane[/name], [name]Marie[/name], [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Arabelle[/name] for sure!
I love [name]Arielle[/name] and [name]Ariella[/name]…also like [name]Arabelle[/name] though maybe less so as [name]Belle[/name]/[name]Bella[/name] names seem so popular right now.
Oh and one with a similar feel, I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Arietta[/name] at the moment nn [name]Ettie[/name], so cute
[name]Arabelle[/name], any variant of [name]Ariel[/name] makes me think of a girl I knew in high school who had reddish-brown hair and was a swimmer; she was teased mercilessly about The [name]Little[/name] Mermaid. Plus I have a weird aversion to any name that is shared by a Disney [name]Princess[/name]. But both [name]Arabelle[/name] and [name]Ariel[/name]/le are way too frilly for me, honestly.
[name]Arabelle[/name] splits the difference between two names I really love: [name]Annabel[/name] and [name]Araminta[/name].
It’s interesting to see that some of you mention the association with the little mermaid. I thought about it too, but I wasn’t sure, if people would actually comment on it. I guess it really did ruin the name a little.
I think of [name]Ariel[/name] as a boys’ name, followed by the [name]Little[/name] Mermaid. I’d love to see [name]Arabella[/name].
I prefer [name]Arabelle[/name] to [name]Arabella[/name]. Same with [name]Isabel[/name] vs. [name]Isabella[/name]. The “a” at the end is too much I think.
I’ll be the first (and only?) one to say… I actually appreciate the [name]Little[/name] Mermaid association.

Pardon me if I express it wrong but I feel like it was the first in a newer generation of Disney cartoon movies… just like [name]Toy[/name] [name]Story[/name] was the first of those animation movies. So, happy memory for me there. I still remember the dress I wore when I saw this in the cinema. And HELLO but [name]Ariel[/name] only had like, the most beautiful voice?

What’s there not to like about [name]Ariel[/name]? She dreamed the impossible dream, she loved and she conquered!
My sister’s name is [name]Arielle[/name] pronounced arry-elle. So like the word “are”. Is that how you would say it or would you say it like the word “air” as in [name]Ariel[/name], the little mermaid? I think [name]Arabelle[/name] is kind of pretty and I don’t mind [name]Arielle[/name], but I don’t care for [name]Ariel[/name]. [name]Even[/name] though my sister’s name was [name]Arielle[/name], not like the little mermaid, she gets called [name]Ariel[/name] all the time, especially when people see it written.
Def [name]Arabelle[/name]! Beautiful. I also like the nn [name]Ari[/name] so much, [name]Belle[/name] is cute too. For a mn with it, I’d do something classic, like [name]Kate[/name] or [name]Elizabeth[/name], but I def tend toward that type name. Maybe something with family meaning?
[name]Arabelle[/name]! It’s so very pretty:)
Prefer [name]Arielle[/name]/[name]Ariella[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t know why but I never like [name]Arabelle[/name], it was my least favourite among all -belle ending names.
[name]Arabelle[/name] for me, although I prefer [name]Arabella[/name], personally. I really like [name]Arabella[/name] [name]Odette[/name]/[name]Arabelle[/name] [name]Odette[/name], [name]Arabelle[/name] [name]Jane[/name]/[name]Arabella[/name] [name]Jane[/name], and [name]Arabella[/name] [name]Monet[/name]/[name]Arabelle[/name] [name]Monet[/name].
Good luck!
