[name]Hi[/name] Berries
My partner is a Muslim & he has said that for any children we have he would want them to have an Arabic first name (he has a daughter already, [name]Ayisha[/name] (pron A-sha)). Problem is I have not found too many that I like, & I [name]LOVE[/name] names.
For girls I like:
[name]Inaya[/name] / [name]Anaya[/name] (tend more towards [name]Anaya[/name])
[name]Imani[/name]
[name]Aziza[/name]
For boys:
[name]Malik[/name]
[name]Hakeem[/name] (although I’m more fond of the [name]Hakim[/name] spelling but think this alters the pron. too much)
[name]Tariq[/name] (obviously couldn’t have [name]Malik[/name] & [name]Tariq[/name] together!)
I once worked with a girl named Somaya, and I thought her name was really pretty. I also like [name]Aziza[/name], Zafirah, Tasneem, [name]Zahra[/name], [name]Amir[/name] and [name]Idris[/name].
Some names that are familiar in both Arabic and English:
The boys are harder!
[name]Adam[/name]/Adaam
[name]Basil[/name] (means “brave”, apparently)
Zakariya/[name]Zachariah[/name] (maybe you could just go with [name]Zak[/name]?)
[name]Taj[/name] (quite common where I live - its familiarity may vary)
[name]Omar[/name]
[name]Ilias[/name]
Sofian
[name]Malik[/name]
Mazin
Layth
Jaul
Alim
Disclaimer: I don’t speak Arabic, so I can’t confirm the legitimacy/spelling/meaning of these names! I’m sure your partner will be able to clarify though. : )

For boys I really love [name]Amir[/name] and [name]Hamza[/name], I saw someone mentioned Layth (sp?), which I also really like for a boy! For girls I like [name]Zara[/name]
and [name]Salma[/name]. I also love love love [name]Noor[/name], which I have seen used for both genders so I’m not sure if it’s unisex or if it “belongs” to one
gender but, I think it’s a beautiful name regardless!
My name is Nihad, and I’m a girl but it’s also used as a boys name. My favorite name is [name]Naima[/name] or [name]Neima[/name]. [name]Khalil[/name] is a good strong name for a boy that is fairly common in the US>
My best friend is Arabic, her name is [name]Samia[/name] (pronounced [name]SAM[/name]-ee-a) her sister is Allia (pronounced [name]Ah[/name]-[name]LAY[/name]-a), her brothers are [name]Hamza[/name], [name]Mohammad[/name] nn Hamad, and [name]Amar[/name]. I know a Arabic/English family with a [name]Yasmine[/name], [name]Layla[/name], and an [name]Adam[/name]. I really like them together - they’re traditional Arabic names, but also work in English too. These are a few more Arabic/English names of people I know:
