Arabic to English - spelling help needed

Arabic name with letter that doesn’t have equivalent letter in [name_f]English[/name_f] so there are so many ways to spell the same name. Spelling options include:

Cathum
Kathem
[name_m]Kadim[/name_m]
Kadhim
Kazim
Cazim

Which one reads best in [name_f]English[/name_f]?

Thanks in advance.

Not quite sure I’m as seeing right as don’t know the original name (Kazem?) but here’s how I would pronounce each of the six in a quick, unthinking way:

Cath-um
Kay-thum
Kuh-deem
As above - Kuh-deem but the H might make me pause (maybe the H might make me attempt a faint H sound)
Ka-zeem (but some might say Kaz’m)
Caz-im or Caz-eem

So I would say use a K letter (looks nicer for this name than a C) and then choose the one with the letter you want to most often hear (in English): a Th (as in “the”); D or Z. I would go Kazim or [name_m]Kadim[/name_m] (again depending on Z or D preference, and because Kath/Cath most often associated with Katherine/Catherine). [name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helps?

[name_m]Kadim[/name_m] or Kazim would work best in [name_f]English[/name_f], I think.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Looks like Kazim or [name_m]Kadim[/name_m] might be easier in [name_f]English[/name_f] that other options

[name_m]Kadim[/name_m] or Kazim would work best, I think - though I would pronounce them differently in [name_f]English[/name_f]

[name_m]Kadim[/name_m] → Ka-deem
Kazim → Ka-zeem

I am perhaps a little bit more familiar than some with Arabic pronunciations so I would say:

Ca-thoom
Ka-theem
Ka-deem
Kad-heem
Ka-zeem
Ca-zeem

I think for most [name_f]English[/name_f] speakers, Kazim or Cazim will read best as [name_m]Kadim[/name_m] is likely to be read as “Kay-dem” like [name_u]Kayden[/name_u] and the dh /th in the middle of names can throw [name_f]English[/name_f] speakers sometimes.

Hopefully this helps!
