Saw this name recently (a friend mentioned it) had never heard of it before, and while I am uncertain of using it as fn I am wondering how others feel about this name and if they would use it as first or mn? It has a certain old charm and beauty to it, and it so unique. But, is it ‘too much’ name? Also, the ‘mint’ almost reminds me of junior mints lol, but overall I think it is really beautiful. Does anyone else mainly notice the ‘mint’ part of the name, or am I silly for even thinking about that?
I like [name]Araminta[/name] a lot. I think the “mint” part of the name is what appeals most to me as I think it has a refreshing sound. I don’t think I would ever be bold enough to use it and I’m sure DH would veto it anyway.
I really love this name! I have is on my list as a first name with nn [name]Aria[/name]. I still can’t figure out any middle names for it though. I think the mint part makes it different so I like that. I also don’t think it’s too much name.
I’ve loved [name]Araminta[/name] for years. I guess the ‘mint’ does come out pretty strongly, but to me its not a negative thing at all. The nn’s [name]Minta[/name] and [name]Minty[/name] are cute, though I’ve always thought I’d probably do [name]Minnie[/name]. And because it has the nn’s, I don’t think its too much name for a little girl, its very refreshing and quirky
I like it too, but it is a very “Nameberry” choice. I think the site owners have a soft spot for it because I never see it anywhere else:)
It’s also 4 syllables so it goes well with so many of the other names I like .
