Archangela

Okay could this be a nickname for this name?

 [name_m]Archie[/name_m]
 [name_u]Angel[/name_u]
 [name_f]Angela[/name_f]

[name_u]Or[/name_u] is that pushing it? Also do you guys think this name is too much for a child too bare with im just worried that if I have a future child and name them this that they’ll get bullied or something and I don’t want that to happen.

It’s way too much for me. [name_f]Angela[/name_f], [name_f]Angella[/name_f], or maybe something like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] would be easier to wear. [name_u]Angel[/name_u] by itself is sweet too.

I agree that it’s too much. Maybe you would like [name_f]Angelina[/name_f], [name_f]Angeline[/name_f], [name_f]Angelica[/name_f], or [name_f]Evangelina[/name_f].

Erm I can’t even pronounce it and I am an [name_f]English[/name_f] Literature Graduate. Pronounciation? :grimacing::blush:

I personally find it a bit too grand but I think it would be a whopping middle. Maybe [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Archangela[/name_f] or another short first…

Its like archangel but with [name_f]Angela[/name_f] I think

Yeah I do agree with you guys when you guys say its too much. But its okay i think its going to be used for a middle name for now on

Not sure why, but when I read this, I thought it was pronounced Ichaelangela like if it was [name_m]Michelangelo[/name_m] but without the M and ended with an A. I have no idea why, it doesn’t even look remotely close to that the second time I read it, but even with its normal pronunciation it’s still slightly hard. I think plain [name_f]Angela[/name_f] is fine. [name_f]Archangela[/name_f] is a bit much

I agree, [name_u]Haley[/name_u]- ABBY.

Been on here forever but am still learning everyone’s names haha

Yes definitely

That’s too much for a kid. Angela, Angelica, and Angel are all good alternatives

I find the pronunciation not as nice or easy to say as the word archangel. Honestly, it’s quite odd to me.

I really love the look of the name, but not really the pronunciation. I love [name_m]Archie[/name_m] as a nickname, though.

I agree that it’s a pretty heavy name. The [name_f]Arcangela[/name_f] spelling softens it a little.

Agree with @anon73451839 that it could make a great middle with the right first

It is a bit much for me, sorry

I agree that it is a little too much, the nicknames are sweet but I think alternatives might be bettter. The others have given some great alternatives! :yellow_heart:

The nicknames work but I think the name is too much.

It feels like a very heavy name to wear imo, but it does have a pretty sound. I just don’t think I’d like to be called it :woman_shrugging:t3:

[name_m]Archangel[/name_m] as a name is already weird, and I’m well known for weird names, but escalating it to [name_f]Archangela[/name_f] is just a no go for me.

I’ve encountered Arcangelo before - I believe it’s an old-fashioned Italian name. I’d assume Arcangela/Archangela is a feminine form of that.

I’d say its usability depends on your community. I’d expect it to be more familiar and accepted in an Italian community compared with a very “Anglo” community.
