I like [name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] and [name_m]Liam[/name_m] equally, but with [name_m]Archer[/name_m] I much prefer [name_u]Finley[/name_u]. As for the spelling, [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] has always felt more feminine, while [name_u]Finley[/name_u] looks masculine. No idea why, it’s just me, I guess.
I prefer [name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Liam[/name_m].
I like [name_u]Finley[/name_u] (even though my feelings about the spelling are the exact opposite of polina’s) but not so much with [name_m]Archer[/name_m].
Look-wise I like how [name_m]Archer[/name_m] and [name_m]Liam[/name_m] aren’t the same length while [name_m]Archer[/name_m] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] are.
Sound-wise I find the transition from -er to Li- easier than from -er to Fi-, might just be me though.
I also like the light sound that the “a” in [name_m]Liam[/name_m] adds to the combo.
Thank you, polina and opheliaflora. Thank you, everyone, for the votes so far.
Opheliaflora, I always find it interesting what combos and names cause people to get tongue tied. I think [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] and [name_f]Petula[/name_f] are so spunky and fun but they are such tongue twisters for me. [name_f]My[/name_f] Gabbage Patch’s first name was [name_f]Petula[/name_f], so I called her by her middle name. [name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] rolls right off my tongue.
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_u]Finley[/name_u] is definitely not hard to say. I think [name_m]Archer[/name_m] ends more in an -a than -er sound when I say it, which somehow makes the transition to Li- easier. However, when I make [name_m]Archer[/name_m] end in the -er sound, [name_u]Finley[/name_u] is the easier name to follow ![]()
Thank you, everyone.
