Our daughter [name_f]Nova[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] will be a big sister this fall and my front runner boy name so far is [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]. Someone mentioned on a previous thread of mine that these two names might be too close together for a sibset which got me thinking. Would love your opinions.
Another boy name I just love is [name_m]Knox[/name_m] but sadly a very close family in my husbands life has a little [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and he says it would just be too weird
I think they go together well! They are vaguely similar with the O and the A sound but not in a bad way. Think about yelling them across the back yard. they flow well. I really like them
I think [name_f]Nova[/name_f] and [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] are too close.
I wrote to a reader on my blog who was in a similar situation with her favorite name as you are with [name_m]Knox[/name_m]- her friend had used a fairly uncommon name that she absolutely loved, so she was torn about using it. I’m of the opinion that everyone in the situation is an adult, and there’s no use giving up on a beloved name for fear of being perceived a “name-stealer”- just have a mature conversation about it if you like the name that much. A few other suggestions you may like:
We have [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] on our shortlist and actually avoided naming our dog [name_f]Nova[/name_f] for the sake of possibly having a [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] in the future. Silly, I know but they just sound that similar to me.
Instead of [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] do you like [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], [name_u]Logan[/name_u], [name_m]Roman[/name_m], [name_u]Corbin[/name_u]? [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_f]Nova[/name_f] sound cool together
