We have a daughter named [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and are expecting another girl soon.
We love the name [name_f]Elise[/name_f], but are worried they are too matchy. What is your opinion?
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think a different spelling would make them seem less similar (like [name_f]Alise[/name_f])?
I wish I wasn’t so stuck on this name?

I like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] (I’d use that over [name_f]Alise[/name_f], which is pretty but looks weird).

Have you considered [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]/[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] (there are several ways to spell it) or [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]? I also love the above suggested [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]. Good luck!
I have to agree that [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f] are too close. I think [name_f]Alise[/name_f] is still to close, since it would probably be pronounced the same way. I do like the suggestion of [name_f]Alice[/name_f], though because it doesn’t have a different first sound. I also really like [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]. You could also do something like [name_f]Liesel[/name_f] or [name_f]Louise[/name_f].
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f] are [name_m]WAY[/name_m] too close. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] are nice, though. You could use [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Annelise[/name_f], which has [name_f]Elise[/name_f] in it.
Another vote for way too close. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] sound like a lovely sister set though, while still maintaining individuality.
