Are these names truly unisex? [poll]

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!

I have recently been thinking about how with some unisex names we can see some of them on a particular sex but with others, they could be either. So based upon my experience (and surprise) with some of these names I create a series of polls. Go through and share what names you see on a particular sex and which could be either in your mind!

And share below if there are any I haven’t missed that you consider truly “unisex”.

The only ones I don’t see as unisex are [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_u]Drew[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u], [name_u]Briar[/name_u] and [name_u]Carter[/name_u].

Some of it might be a nationality thing but I’ve never come across/heard of a female [name_u]Finn[/name_u]/Finley or a male [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] - and others also feel much more firmly one gender to me than the overall poll results suggest.

I did what I would assume for each of them.

I agree that most of these really do seem to be one and or the other. [name_m]Even[/name_m] some that I labeled as either I only put as because I know of one person being in the other gender although without that one person is view it as primarily one sex (Ex [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] I mostly see on males but do know one female [name_u]Peyton[/name_u])

Fantastic poll!!

I once knew a girl named [name_u]August[/name_u]. And I’ve known a girl named [name_u]Michael[/name_u].

I see them all as unisex, but I also believe any name could theoretically work for any gender identity.

I think all of them technically work as unisex (maybe except for [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]), but many of them may bring about assumptions of gender, which isn’t necessarily a big deal.

I voted girl for [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] and boy for [name_u]Payton[/name_u], because that’s how the ones I know spell it, but I think the sound is really unisex. [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] is the only one on this list that I like on both genders.
