I don’t think you need to have -n ending names. Since you’re expecting twins, it would be a way to break the pattern since it wouldn’t be all the kids in the family except one sharing the same final letter. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is a great name, and I think all those -n endings might get redundant. However, if you’re set on one twin having an -n ending name, I guess the other should too so they’re not left out.
I do think [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Addie[/name_f] is a bit close to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]/[name_f]Evie[/name_f]. It’s not horrible, but there are better choices. Can I suggest [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Adelaine[/name_f]? They still end in an -n sound, but they’re more different from [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. You can still use nn [name_f]Addie[/name_f], but with [name_f]Adelaine[/name_f] you also have the option of [name_f]Lainey[/name_f].
I think when using nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Addie[/name_f], the names are not too close and I actually like them together. I would go with [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] as the full name though, it sounds lovely next to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].
I don’t’ think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Addie[/name_f] are to similar but I do think [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] are. If you want a n ending, an honor name for an [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and the ability to use the nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f], why not go with [name_u]Addison[/name_u]?
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and [name_u]Addison[/name_u] work well together.
If you want something a bit more timeless and less trendy, what about [name_u]Allison[/name_u]? [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_u]Allie[/name_u].
Yes, they’re too close. [name_m]Both[/name_m] names end in -lyn and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Addie[/name_f] seem almost overly cutesy as sisters.
Why not just use [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] as a middle name?
I was going to say this too. The lyn ending is matchy in itself, but these are also the same # letters, with only 2 being different.
Some other ideas…
[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f]

[name_u]Seren[/name_u]
[name_f]Maren[/name_f]
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Jessamyn[/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] faves with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Kaidan[/name_m], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], and [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] are bolded.
I don’t think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Addie[/name_f] are too close at all. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f] do sound close, but I think it could work, since the emphasis is on the first syllable of the names.
some suggestions for the nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f]:
Aderyn
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
Adamyn (from [name_f]Adamina[/name_f]/[name_f]Adamine[/name_f])
more ideas
[name_f]Aislinn[/name_f] / [name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f]

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f]
[name_u]Keelin[/name_u]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
What about Adriann [name_u]Delaney[/name_u]? You get [name_u]Adi[/name_u] and the [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] sound.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] are so close, so are [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Addie[/name_f]. They are almost interchangeable when you yell them quickly. Too close for my comfort.
Some with nicknames:
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] nn [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]/[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Kirsten[/name_f] nn [name_f]Kiki[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Marin[/name_f] nn [name_f]May[/name_f]/[name_f]Mari[/name_f]
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] (for a twin!!! Perfect opportunity!!!) nn [name_m]Tam[/name_m]
[name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
Without obvious nicknames:
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
[name_u]Carmen[/name_u]
[name_f]Gretchen[/name_f]
[name_u]Haven[/name_u]
I think [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], or [name_f]Marin[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] are my favorites, but really [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] goes nicely with most names that end in N.
What about having the nickname [name_f]Ada[/name_f] for her, instead of [name_f]Addie[/name_f]?
I do think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Addie[/name_f] are too similar. But if you love it, go for it!!
So are [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]. But if you are okay with that they make cute sisters!!
[name_m]Even[/name_m] the suggestion of [name_u]Addison[/name_u] with [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] seems too close.
Some other names similar to [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]:
[name_f]Adalee[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Adalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Adele[/name_f] or [name_f]Adela[/name_f]
Thank you for the other suggestions. [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] has been a love of mine for a long time, and we considered it with [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] is also one of my favorites. We have a lot of options, but considering that my husband actually suggested a name -before the baby arrives- I was really excited! With [name_f]Evie[/name_f] he was SO stubborn.
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]?
[name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]?
[name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]?
You’re welcome. I think those are all beautiful! I’m not sure which is my fave. [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] sound pretty cute together. Not sure about nicknames for [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f]? [name_f]Maren[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] are also very pretty together.
It’s not surprising he liked [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] since he loved [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. Sounds like you’re in decent shape though…
I totally agree with this… [name_m]How[/name_m] would you feel about using [name_m]Jack[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]? It would free you up to choose whatever name you like for your little girl. I really like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] for twins. Also think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Addie[/name_f] would be great for sisters, but [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] are quite close, as some posters have already said. BUT I don’t think they sound ridiculous together or anything, so if you and your husband love [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f], I say go for it
Though we’ll likely end up calling him [name_m]Jack[/name_m] we won’t name him just [name_m]Jack[/name_m] for many different reasons, mainly being that it is to short for both of us. And our older children all have nicknames, which is why we want [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] to have the option.
Thanks for your comment!
Also, to answer another poster we don’t like [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and [name_u]Addison[/name_u] together, so that’s why we won’t go that direction.
I second the vote for [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], better pronounciation in the sibset for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] which sounds awkward to me anyway! ([name_f]May[/name_f] be because I have an Aunt [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]!)
I prefer [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] to [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]. [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] is too close to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], but I feel like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] isn’t. [name_f]Evie[/name_f] & [name_f]Addie[/name_f] are cute for sisters [name_f]IMO[/name_f]! ([name_u]LOve[/name_u] [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] & [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] as well - posted in your other thread).
Another idea is [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]. This is like [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] and honours [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], but you could use nn [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] (or maybe even [name_f]Addie[/name_f]!) It’s also not too close to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], and goes well with [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]. [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] & [name_m]Jackson[/name_m].
I think the suggestions of [name_u]Allison[/name_u] and [name_u]Addison[/name_u] are great. I do think that [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] are too close (even with [name_f]Addie[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] as nn’s). What really get’s me is Vowel-constant-vowel-lyn. I also think that having the twins both have -son endings would be a cute link between them and keep with in the -n theme you accidentally started.
