Aria - opinion and other names like it?

I really like [name]Ariadne[/name] but hubby doesn’t. I also like [name]Aria[/name] - which he is more fond of. Thoughts on it? Also - can anyone recommend girl/boy names with the same vibe. Classic feeling but unique?

Thanks!

[name]Aria[/name] reminds me of…

[name]Arden[/name]
[name]Arwen[/name]
[name]Daria[/name]
[name]Maria[/name]
[name]Lyra[/name]

[name]Arlo[/name]
[name]Eero[/name]

[name]Adrienne[/name]/[name]Adrianna[/name] (f) or [name]Adrian[/name] (m) might be a great alternative for [name]Ariadne[/name]/[name]Aria[/name].

I find [name]Aria[/name] lacks substance and is a little fluffy. I’d go with [name]Arianna[/name] nn [name]Aria[/name] instead.

[name]Adrienne[/name]/[name]Adrian[/name] is much too… common (?) for me. Lol. I like names that are not heard often. I also really like word names. Hubby is a bit more conservative in some aspects. :-/

I taught a little girl named [name]Aria[/name] a few years ago. She’s 10 now. I told her mother she was ahead of her time. I had never heard the name before!

I think [name]Isla[/name] (pronounced Eye-la) is another name like [name]Aria[/name]. It’s getting very popular right now, but still sounds pretty unique.

Also, try [name]Ariana[/name]/[name]Arianna[/name].

I like the name, but I’m beyond tired of seeing it tbh. I’m thinking of crossing it off of my own list. It’s turning into [name]Jasmine[/name] for me: Seeing it every where and tired of it, a lot of people see it as unique, I don’t at all. It’s far far from unique imo.

[name]Aria[/name] leads me to: [name]Ariana[/name], [name]Arianne[/name], [name]Aurora[/name], [name]Aliana[/name], [name]Maria[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name]

[name]Antigone[/name] or [name]Audra[/name]?

Oh, and [name]Adria[/name]!

[name]One[/name] of the reasons that [name]Aria[/name] is increasing in popularity is that there is a character on the HBO series “Game of Thrones” named [name]Arya[/name]. The character is very spunky, and quite popular. Although it’s a pretty name, because [name]Aria[/name] is a noun, to me it sort of sounds as if you are naming your child [name]Symphony[/name] or [name]Opera[/name].

Alternatives might be

[name]Ariel[/name]
[name]Artemis[/name]
[name]Carys[/name]
[name]Mia[/name]
[name]Miranda[/name]

Lol. I like noun/word names, actually - I guess that’s why I like it? [name]Symphony[/name] is actually kinda pretty, [name]IMO[/name]. I’d love other “noun” type names that could pass as elegant/classic, too. But not overly common. Trying to find ther names of the sort to add to my list.

I’m pretty set on [name]Aria[/name] in and of itself, but I’d like some similar type names (but not alternatives for [name]Aria[/name]) if that makes sense.

The other reason for [name]Aria[/name]'s popularity is the character from “Pretty [name]Little[/name] Liars” and I would have to say I agree that on it’s own it is becoming a bit too popular but as a nickname for [name]Ariadne[/name] I am Loving it! You could go with other musical names like [name]Melody[/name], [name]Harmony[/name], [name]Cadence[/name], or Lyrica. Other suggestions that come to my mind are [name]Marin[/name]/[name]Maren[/name], [name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Tiana[/name], or [name]Clare[/name]/[name]Claira[/name]/[name]Clara[/name]. =]

The author of pretty little liars totally stole my naming style, NGL. I love [name]Aria[/name], [name]Ezra[/name] (classical vibes, and uniqueness). I also love the boy-name-for-girls thing with [name]Spencer[/name] (girl). [name]Kinda[/name] hilarious that I loved all those before I watched the show. Hubby hates [name]Ezra[/name], sadly. He does like [name]Aria[/name]. Trying to convince him on the [name]Ariadne[/name] nn [name]Aria[/name] thing. The good thing is that the [name]Aria[/name] naming trend hasn’t hit in my area. I doubt it will.

I like [name]Ruby[/name] in theory but with my pronunciation of R’s I stay away from pretty much anything beginning in that. We have [name]Claire[/name] set aside as a middle name

ETA - I liked [name]Cadence[/name] before it became the “it” name for teen moms in my area.
>.<

ETA 2 - My strange taste in names would also allow for me to use Arizona nn Aria but hubby wouldn’t allow that over his dead body. Haha
