Aria vs Arianna vs Arianne

Our second daughter is due today (still playing the waiting game). We decided on [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] but are now considering a longer version with the nickname [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. The husband and my mom want [name_f]Arianna[/name_f] and they think it’s cute that it rhymes with our first daughters name, [name_f]Elliana[/name_f] “[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]”. I’m not a fan of the rhyming and prefer [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] but people have commented it sounds like aryan as in the nazi “pure race”. Thoughts on all of this?

I think you should just stick with [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. It is a beautiful name and it sounds great with [name_f]Elliana[/name_f]. I agree with the whole [name_f]Arianna[/name_f]/[name_f]Elliana[/name_f] rhyming thing, I wouldn’t do that. It is almost the same name. [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] is okay, but not as nice as [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. I never realized that [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] sounds like aryan. I feel like if you decide to name her [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], you will always in the back of your mind think, “her name sounds like aryan”. Or at least I would if I were you. So I would just stick with [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], it is beautiful.
I hope that helped!

I agree with this. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is beautiful, and a longer variation isn’t necessary.

I agree with everything said above. [name_m]Just[/name_m] another comment, [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is stunning! [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is one of my favourite names! It’s so beautiful! And beside timeless [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], stunning. I might just add this combo to my list. I think [name_f]Arianna[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is too long a name. 4 syllables, followed by 3 is too long! (Maybe you have a short last name?). Now, [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is 3-3 syllables, but [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is only 4 letters, so it feels shorter. Also, maybe this is just me, but it sounds shorter. Like, the syllables themselves are shorter if that makes sense. I too never noticed the [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] / [name_m]Aryan[/name_m] thing, but now that you mention it, I see it. But [name_f]Arianna[/name_f] is pronounced [name_f]Air[/name_f]-ee-anne and aryan is pronounced air-ee-in. Also, [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] is close to [name_f]Elliana[/name_f] too.Whatever. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is just so much better than [name_f]Arianna[/name_f]/[name_f]Arianne[/name_f]. Ignore everyone else and name your daughter [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]! It is too stunning and works so nicely with [name_f]Elliana[/name_f]. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is too pretty! Go for it!
