Ariel for boy ( final post )

Hi. Thank you for all those heartwarming replies from my post about naming my son Ariel.
These are all the variations I have found from the mamma natural baby names website of the name Ariel . ( ( AH-ree-el )

( Aeriel, Aerielle, Airel, Airyel, Airyell, Arel, Ariell, Aryel, Aryell, Arial )

Which of these is good or should I have to stick with the original?
We chose Levi for the middle name but my husband suggested David too. So what do you say?
Thank you again all

I love the name [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] and I much prefer it on the boys but I understand where your worries are coming from

I would still stick with the original [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] though, it’s simple and known well enough to be spelled in a correct way.

[name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]Levi[/name_u] is gorgeous :crescent_moon::white_heart:

  • a side note - [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] is in top 5 boys names in [name_u]Israel[/name_u]

I actually really like [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] for a boy! I like [name_u]Levi[/name_u] with it, but I would go with [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] because I think the Ls run together too much like Arielevi. I would definitely stick with the spelling [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]. [name_u]Arial[/name_u] makes me think of the air, and the others are confusing. If you really like that prn, maybe [name_u]Arriel[/name_u]?

I think [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] is your best option!!

[name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] is my fave, but [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] [name_u]Levi[/name_u] could make a nice option too

What about Arielevi [name_u]David[/name_u] or [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] :yellow_heart:

[name_u]Ariel[/name_u] has always felt more masculine for me, and it is my favourite spelling. [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]Levi[/name_u] is nice but the L’s do run into each other a bit, so I prefer the flow of [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u]. [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] [name_u]Levi[/name_u] would be really nice if you are open to two middles

I like [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] a lot on a boy. I’d choose [name_u]David[/name_u] as a middle name, since [name_u]Levi[/name_u] ends and [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] begins with L.

That sounds good too. Thank you.

I like [name_u]Arial[/name_u] too ( AH_Ree-Yal ) but i dunno. I’m going to use a nickname [name_u]Ari[/name_u]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] I was worry he will get teased at school in future. Thank you.

[name_u]Ariel[/name_u] itself is good ! Although [name_u]Arial[/name_u] is also a good choice. I’ll choose [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] [name_u]Levi[/name_u].
[name_u]Ari[/name_u] is a perfect nn and avoid people’s saying it’s blah blah things.

I love [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] on a boy :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I think that prn is perfectly intuitive, you might have to correct someone just cause the other one is more common but it still makes perfect sense (in my first language that’s how it’s pronounced as well, [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] is also common for a boy in my culture too, kind of an underused classic). I’m gonna be completely honest I don’t like any of the other variants except for maybe Ariell. All of them just take a a normal, easy to spell name and make it hard. [name_f]Aerial[/name_f] is ok but is completely separate from [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] to me, and is more associated with sports and military for me. I really like [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]Levi[/name_u]! I do think they run into each other a bit but I don’t think that’s a big problem at all. [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] is also super handsome and you can’t really go wrong with it

[name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u]. Other spellings look no. I do like [name_u]Levi[/name_u], not with [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]

I think the most intuitive spelling of that name is [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]. It is a beautiful choice and I don’t think he would be teased about it in school. I knew a male [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] when I was a kid and it was not an issue for him.

For the middle name, I like both options and I think both would be fine. If I have to choose, I would say that [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] flows a little bit better. Good luck with the choice!

Thank you! And btw i love you’re name annela! Maybe use it for my future daughter

I teach and have encountered a lot of Ariels; [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] is just too feminine for me. I love [name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] though!!!

I really like [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]Levi[/name_u]. Having grown up with a good boy buddy [name_u]Ariel[/name_u], it seems like a really natural choice for a boy.
I love that the Ls run into each other; makes it so smooth to say in full.

I would stick with [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] because at least it’s clear what name it is whereas the variations are confusing. Similar names that are different but you might love would be.

[name_m]Azriel[/name_m] - [name_m]God[/name_m] is my help
[name_m]Adriel[/name_m] - [name_m]God[/name_m] is my Master
[name_m]Aviel[/name_m] (Avi) - [name_m]God[/name_m] is my Father.

I think I prefer [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] slightly better just because of [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] ending with the L letter, but both are solid options.

Thank you but I’ve love [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] since i was little and it has a good meaning and we pronounce it AH-ree-el ( don’t care if it’s now more common for girls just because of that mermaid i dont even liked her) . We agree to call him [name_u]Ari[/name_u].
