My husband and I had decided on [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] for our daughter due in [name_f]October[/name_f], but I know he was not in love with [name_f]Camille[/name_f] (it was my choice)
Today he text me from work saying that he loves [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]. As much as I love [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] it will always be a disappointment to me that we didn’t use a middle that my husband chose, however, I can’t help but think [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] would flow better with [name_f]Heidi[/name_f], and that it is just prettier in general.
I think [name_f]Camille[/name_f] is really pretty with [name_f]Heidi[/name_f]. [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] is as well but I think it’s over-used. If you do choose [name_u]Ariel[/name_u], I would well it [name_f]Arielle[/name_f]. It’s a lot nicer looking.
I think [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] and [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] can both be pronounced either way (to me they’re the same name spelled differently), but I agree the [name_m]Arri[/name_m]-el pronunciation is more connected with [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] since [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] is tied to the little mermaid (who pronounces it [name_f]Air[/name_f]-e-el).
I think [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] (with either pronunciation) goes better with [name_f]Heidi[/name_f], but [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] still goes well. If your husband likes [name_u]Ariel[/name_u], doesn’t he like [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] too?
I think [name_f]Camille[/name_f] sounds better but [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] could work too, if the pronunciation is how I’m imagining. (Like the way [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] pronounces it in The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid, with the hard Ar-ee-elle" lol)
I prefer [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] over [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] as [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] seems masculine and reminds me of the [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid. That said, I prefer [name_f]Camille[/name_f] over [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]/[name_f]Arielle[/name_f].
