Hello and welcome to my first ‘Roll the Dice’ Style CAF! This one is going to be based off of the English Peerage system and will span 100 years. This will probably take a little while to get finished as there is a lot to explain, but I will do my best and hopefully I’ll not overcomplicate it! If in doubt - this explains the system in more detail
We’ll start with a title…
1 - Duke (Wife is a Duchess)
2 - Marquess (Wife is a Marchioness)
3 - Earl (Wife is a Countess)
4 - Viscount (Wife is a Viscountess)
And then pick a place name from this here
Then pick a surname from here
Now we need a husband and wife…

Children’s Titles
Children of a Duke
The eldest son of the Duke is the Heir and will inherit the title of Duke when his father dies. He will often be provided with a courtesy title until he inherits the Dukedom. In this case, he will have the title of an Marquess , and will be the Marquess of _______. When he inherits the Dukedom, he will drop this title and it will be given to his eldest son and so on. Pick a place name from here.
All other sons will be titled Lord (Their Name.) If the oldest brother dies, however, the second oldest will inherit the title of Duke. If he dies, the third son will inherit the title and so on. This title cannot be inherited by the holder’s children, and the holder’s wife’s title would be (Wife’s name, Lady (Husband’s given name and surname))
If the Duke has no sons, then the title will go to his closest paternal male relative. It would go to the next eldest brother. If his brothers were dead, it would go to the eldest of his brother’s sons. If none of his brothers had any sons, it would go to his eldest male paternal cousin. If there is nobody to inherit the title on your CAF, then the title disappears.
The Duke’s daughters are titled Lady (Their Name.) They only keep their title after marriage if they do not marry someone who is titled. Their title will not be inherited by their children
