I prefer [name_u]Asher[/name_u] a lot!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
Well, I don’t know! I really quite like them both.
Here are some pros & cons-
[name_u]Arthur[/name_u] Pros:
-old fashioned
-charming
-easy to say & spell
-not super popular
[name_u]Arthur[/name_u] Cons:
-I don’t like Art(ie). But this may be a pro for you if you like it.
Well, that’s it! I see what you mean about how it feels okay for a little fella or an old man, but odd for a teen. I think that maybe if you had a teen son named [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] it’d feel fine.
[name_u]Asher[/name_u] Pros:
-cool fresh vibe
-old Biblical name, but not old sounding
-easy to say & spell
-cool nn of [name_u]Ash[/name_u]
[name_u]Asher[/name_u] Cons:
-a bit popular
-sounds kind of like as*. But not really!
I do slightly prefer [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], I think. But you can’t go wrong w/either. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] my rambling helps.
[name_u]Asher[/name_u] sounds more modern to me. Could use [name_m]Art[/name_m] for short for [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]. I had an uncle named [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] but everyone called him [name_m]Art[/name_m].
asher for sure! love the meaning, love that is a nature name and the nn ash is just so cute. underrated name for sure. i’ve never been a fan of arthur tbh
[name_u]Asher[/name_u] it’s so cute and vintage and love the nickname Ash!!!
I prefer [name_u]Asher[/name_u]! It’s cool and modern-sounding while also having lots of history. Plus [name_u]Ash[/name_u] is the coolest nickname!
I love both, but have an extra soft spot for [name_u]Asher[/name_u], especially because of the nickname [name_u]Ash[/name_u] (I’m not a huge fan of any of the nicknames for [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], myself).
I love [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]!
I prefer [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]. I think it’s a great name that would also suit a teenager/ young adult.
I prefer [name_u]Asher[/name_u]. No actual reason other than I don’t like [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], but I do think both names suit a kid of all ages.
I prefer [name_u]Asher[/name_u] a lot more
I adore Arthur!!! I can see it on all ages, but there’s also the cute nicknames [name_u]Ari[/name_u] or [name_u]Artie[/name_u]
I prefer [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] because it feels like a classic/ vintage name (which is my style), while [name_u]Asher[/name_u] feels like a modern name. Both are good options however
I love [name_u]Asher[/name_u]. There’s nothing wrong with [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] (I think the arth sound just doesn’t appeal to me), but [name_u]Asher[/name_u] is such a lovely name, and I like the nn [name_u]Ash[/name_u].
I have an [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] so I’m partial to it! I’m not concerned that it will sound odd on him as a young adult - it’s a classic name with nickname options if he really wants one. (We call him [name_m]Art[/name_m] or [name_u]Artie[/name_u] at home, but he’s always [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] to anyone else.)
I’ve never met an adult [name_u]Asher[/name_u], so that’s actually harder for me to imagine. But it’s also a great name. You can’t really go wrong with either one!
