My great-grandfather was Italian and came to [name_u]America[/name_u]. His name was [name_m]Arturo[/name_m] but he changed it to [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] when he came here. I was extremely close with his daughter, my grandmother, so I do feel a bit more of a connection than average for a great-grandparent I’ve never met. It seems like [name_m]Arturo[/name_m] is more true to him, but the baby would only be 1/16th Italian, so it seems a little weird. Thoughts?
I think [name_m]Arturo[/name_m] is gorgeous and would honor your great-grandfather perfectly!
If Americans who are 0% Greek can name kids [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], then you who are part Italian can name a son [name_m]Arturo[/name_m]
It’s a family name, so I think either [name_m]Arturo[/name_m] or [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] would work in your case. Choose the one you like better
