@llbaby22
Thank you for your advice and for sharing your experience! I know people tend to talk behind others’ backs, and I’m afraid that my acquaintances would badmouth about my children’s names.
From your list, I like [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Coco[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]. My husband doesn’t like any, but he likes [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] (which I think is too common for me).
@Sorceress
Thanks! [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is our best option for now. [name_f]Liv[/name_f] has been in my list since 2009, so I could still use this until I feel more comfortable with [name_f]Olive[/name_f].
From your suggestions, I like [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but they are super popular in my country (top 10). I love [name_f]Junie[/name_f] and I will suggest it to my husband. It’s the first time I see [name_f]Junia[/name_f], I have to let it simmer. Also, I really like [name_f]Nimue[/name_f] from your signature.
@[name_m]Wilkie[/name_m]
Thank you! Etsy is absolutely adorable. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is a bit mouthful for me (english is not my first language). I have a hard time to pronounce it. From your list I like:
[name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Farrah[/name_f], [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], [name_f]Indie[/name_f], [name_f]Cadence[/name_f], [name_f]Calliope[/name_f], [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], [name_u]Calypso[/name_u], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. But I know for a fact that my other half doesn’t, because I suggested most of these names a few days ago. I will try [name_f]Gemma[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Kaia[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f] (my great grandmother), [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_u]Billie[/name_u], [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] (also my great grandmother), [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Mina[/name_f] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]. I know my husband likes [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f], and in the past he talked about [name_f]Mina[/name_f], [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_f]Odessa[/name_f] (his favorite band). I also know that he doesn’t like [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] and [name_u]Billie[/name_u] because I have been “pushing” for these names lately, and he kept saying no. It’s the first time I see [name_u]Salem[/name_u] for a girl and I kind of like it. I will suggest [name_u]Salem[/name_u] along [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]. I’m adding [name_u]Sage[/name_u] in the list!
@river_dweller
I’m not a fan of [name_f]Odette[/name_f], sorry. [name_f]October[/name_f] is cute but I don’t have any tied connexion to this month. We both like the suggestion of [name_f]Mae[/name_f], thank you! Also, my husband likes [name_m]Clarke[/name_m] from your signature.
@[name_f]Katinka[/name_f]
Awh, thank you so much! I also admire your style
If I see [name_f]Esme[/name_f] or [name_f]Olive[/name_f] among other names, they are definitely “clicking”. Like, when my eyes come across [name_f]Olive[/name_f] or [name_f]Esme[/name_f] in a list, my heart beats faster. I think they are so pretty… and I don’t know why I have doubts.
I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. I actually have [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] in my list. I guess my husband feels undecided about these names, because one day it’s*“yes”, the other day it’s “no”. I tried [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] and [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] already. I might consider [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] as a middle name, but it has my preference on a boy.
[name_f]Maxine[/name_f] is actually in our list. So is Ysée. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] Ysée, but every time I ask what people think about it, I get comments saying that the name is not wearable in an english speaking country (because it’s too close to “easy”). Also, I’m not sure people would know how to pronounce it or spell it. That’s the only reason why it’s not in the top of our list right now. Because we both like it! We thought about Yselle or Isildée nn Ysée. But it just doesn’t feel right. Most of the french names we like seem to be difficult to pronounce in english (Esmérance, Isildée). That’s why we are leaning towards something that’s more international.
I will suggest [name_f]Ismay[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f] and [name_f]Emme[/name_f]. Also, [name_f]Kahlo[/name_f] is a great idea. I’m not a fan of the name, but I definitely see the appeal.
@Merylp: I love you daughter’s name. I’m not surprised people like it in [name_f]France[/name_f]. I like [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] and [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] from your suggestions.
@Daniemc: Thanks!
I will suggest [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] (as a middle name only, it’s sadly not useable in my country). I love [name_u]Shelby[/name_u] [name_f]Boheme[/name_f] as a combo, the names flow really well together, but I’m not a fan of the name [name_u]Shelby[/name_u] by itself.
@Withinreason: Thank you for sharing this. There has been only 650 Olives since 1900 in my country, it’s very rare. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is popular though. That’s why I don’t understand people’s reactions. They are literally the same names for me.
