Asher Patrick Gray

Can I have some thoughts on this combo, please?

I’ve been searching for literally months for the perfect [name]Asher[/name] combo, and [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is the combo I’ve been toying with for the past couple of weeks. I’m still not sure it’s 100% perfect, but it’s definitely better than anything else I’ve come up with. Anyway, wdyt? If you like something else more, please let me know, but I’d appreciate not being bombarded with ideas, haha.

Thanks!

Is [name]Gray[/name] the last name or a second middle? It sound really good just as [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gray[/name] … if there was surname added, I don’t know if it would have the same effect. But I love [name]Asher[/name], and I like [name]Patrick[/name], and [name]Gray[/name] as a middle name (or surname) is cute

[name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] it! Totally swoon worthy!
Did you see my [name]Rachel[/name] idea?

[name]Ash[/name] it is a fabulous combo it has all the light and shade and flow that you could ever want. [name]Love[/name] it!

rollo

I like it. [name]Even[/name] though [name]Patrick[/name] isn’t really my style, I think it goes really well here. [name]Asher[/name] is handsome and strong, [name]Patrick[/name] is classic and calm, and [name]Gray[/name] is cool and spunky. I think it’s a perfect mix of all the right things.

If you decide you want another name in there, you should choose another classic like [name]William[/name], [name]Henry[/name] etc…

If [name]Gray[/name] is your last name, the yes.

lol, no, [name]Gray[/name] is not my ln. It would be in honor of my grandmother (mn [name]Grace[/name]). I’m glad you all like it! [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gray[/name] seems a bit traditional for my usual taste, and there were other names I’d really wanted to get on my list ([name]Samuel[/name], [name]Conrad[/name], [name]Caspian[/name], [name]Peter[/name], [name]Atticus[/name], [name]Zane[/name], [name]Booker[/name], [name]Beckett[/name], [name]Elijah[/name], [name]Gabriel[/name], [name]Leopold[/name], [name]Linus[/name], etc.), but I just didn’t like them with [name]Asher[/name], as much. The combo seems a bit boring to me compared to [name]Jack[/name] [name]August[/name] [name]Cole[/name], [name]Caleb[/name] [name]Elias[/name] [name]Joseph[/name], [name]Everett[/name] [name]Joshua[/name] [name]Charles[/name], [name]Spencer[/name] [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Gray[/name], etc., but I think that’s because I usually have one vintagey-type name along with a more traditional name. But I’m so sick of looking for [name]Asher[/name] combos, lol. I really didn’t want to repeat [name]Gray[/name], either, since I have [name]Grayson[/name] [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Jude[/name] and [name]Spencer[/name] [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Gray[/name] on my list already.

@emiliaj - yes, I did see that! It’s a good idea but I am not as much of an [name]Angeline[/name]/a fan, I like [name]Evangeline[/name] much more. I’m leaning toward either keeping [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Clara[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] or maybe going with [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Cora[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]. I apparently love “C” names with [name]Rachel[/name] and [name]Evangeline[/name]. I’d thought it might be nice to use an “M” MN, too, as then I could honor both my sister (initials R.E.) and grandmother (initials R.M.), but I couldn’t really find any “M” names I liked. Maybe [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Magda[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] or [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Macy[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]. Eh. I like the idea of [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Posy[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] or [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Daisy[/name], too, but I don’t think those will stick.

I don’t think it’s boring in comparison to your other combo’s at all. I really like it, it’s extremely hansdome!!

I am jealous of your abilities to create such wonderful double middle name combos, haha. I think [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is perfect! :]

sigh

Thanks, ladies. I’m glad it was such a big hit, but hearing all your replies just proved to me that [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gray[/name] isn’t it. Hopefully the perfect [name]Asher[/name] combo is out there, somewhere. [name]Do[/name] you like any of the names I posted earlier with [name]Asher[/name]? I’ve been toying around with [name]Asher[/name] [name]Elijah[/name] and [name]Asher[/name] [name]Zane[/name], although I’m not sure I love either…

If it’ll help, my favorite [name]Asher[/name] combo (with two middle names) is [name]Asher[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] <3

[name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Zane[/name] is nice!

Did you ever have [name]Asher[/name] [name]Finnegan[/name] as an option? I thought I saw that combo in one of your much earlier posts (but I could be wrong). Assuming it was yours, I think that is a super cute combination.

I too think [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is handsome, but since you’ve decided it isn’t the one, I played around with the other names you mentioned and came up with a few new combos. To my mind, the thing that makes [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gray[/name] a little bland is not the style, which I think is perfect, but the sound. [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Patrick[/name] have the same rhythm and number of syllables, and the vowel sounds are similar. Those things make “[name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]” faintly boring to my ear when spoken aloud. So in my new combos, even though I understand it’s the name [name]Gray[/name] you’re more interested in losing, I broke up the “[name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]” combo:

[name]Asher[/name] [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Gray[/name] (this doesn’t lose [name]Gray[/name], but I really like it! It has the spunk that [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is slightly lacking, [name]IMO[/name].)
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Zane[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Zane[/name] [name]Beckett[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Zane[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] (maybe this could be a winner?)
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Leopold[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

If you dislike 'em all, that’s OK. I just thought they might help break the boredom. Best wishes!

What about [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Zane[/name] instead of [name]Gray[/name]? Are you set on [name]Patrick[/name]? I don’t care for the fact that [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Patrick[/name] have the same -a sound in them. Maybe that is why you are struggling with this combo?

Thanks for the suggestions! I’d actually like to keep [name]Gray[/name] more than [name]Patrick[/name]–[name]Gray[/name]'s honoring, while [name]Patrick[/name] is not. I have really loved [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name], but I’m willing to lose it if I can find something I adore. I had actually considered [name]Asher[/name] [name]Zane[/name] [name]Patrick[/name], haha, that was my next back-up choice. Someone (@emiliaj, I think?) had suggested I continue the “J” and “C” initials that I have in my [name]Caleb[/name], [name]Everett[/name], and [name]Jack[/name] combos, and I really liked that, as a way to honor [name]Jesus[/name] [name]Christ[/name]/God, but I couldn’t really find a “J” and “C” name I liked with [name]Asher[/name]. I liked [name]Conrad[/name] as a second MN, but I couldn’t really find a three syllable “J” name to go between [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Conrad[/name] that I really liked (since something like [name]Asher[/name] [name]Jonah[/name] [name]Conrad[/name] “[name]Roberts[/name]” is way too monotonous for me!)–[name]Jameson[/name] and [name]Josiah[/name] are names I like, but I didn’t like them between [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Conrad[/name]. Although [name]Asher[/name] _____ [name]Conrad[/name] is an option I could play around with more. [name]Conrad[/name] was the name of the street I grew up on, so I love it for all the memories of family and childhood it brings up. I also liked the idea of using the initials L. B. for the MNs, in honor of my grandfather (L. B. [name]Smith[/name]–no full name, just two initials), but I couldn’t really find a full name I liked for that, either (the closest I came was [name]Asher[/name] [name]Linus[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Asher[/name] [name]Leo[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name], or [name]Asher[/name] [name]Louis[/name] (said Loo-ee, not loo-iss) [name]Benjamin[/name], but I didn’t love any of them enough to use them).

[name]Asher[/name] [name]Leopold[/name] [name]Gray[/name] might be an option, though! I actually really like it. It would take the first half of my grandfather’s name (L) and the first part of my grandmother’s MN ([name]Grace[/name]), so I like it was a way to honor them both. I’ll have to think about it, but [name]Asher[/name] [name]Leopold[/name] was my back-up before I decided I loved [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name], so it could be a definite possibility! It has that style most of my combos have, too, I really like it.

I had also liked the idea of [name]Asher[/name] [name]Jonas[/name] [name]George[/name] ([name]Asher[/name] [name]Jonah[/name] [name]George[/name]?) and [name]Asher[/name] [name]Noah[/name] [name]George[/name]… I’m still playing around with those as possibilities, now that [name]Asher[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is out, although I am pretty sure I liked [name]Avery[/name] [name]Noah[/name] [name]George[/name] and [name]Avery[/name] [name]Jonas[/name] [name]George[/name] more than both of them…

I also have realized I quite like “E” names with [name]Asher[/name]–[name]Asher[/name] [name]Elliot[/name], [name]Asher[/name] [name]Elijah[/name], [name]Asher[/name] [name]Edmund[/name], [name]Asher[/name] [name]Ezekiel[/name], [name]Asher[/name] [name]Ezra[/name], etc.–so I’m toying with one of those with the MN [name]Conrad[/name] or [name]Gray[/name], or maybe even [name]Zane[/name], as well, all of which would be honoring.

@avesnames - yes, I had considered [name]Asher[/name] [name]Finnegan[/name], early on! I still like it but I don’t know, something about it seems off to me.

I [name]ADORE[/name]:

[name]Asher[/name] [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Everett[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Willoughby[/name] (nn. [name]Will[/name]) [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Sirius[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Dorian[/name] [name]Grey[/name] (only if you like the novel. close enough, eh?)
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Rupert[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] ([name]Alfred[/name] or [name]Alphonse[/name] for the nn. [name]Alfie[/name]) [name]Grey[/name]

I agree with some of the others [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Patrick[/name] together sounds to similiar both in vowels and syllabels. Although, it really is a handsome name.

[name]Asher[/name] [name]Gray[/name] sounds great and so does [name]Asher[/name] [name]Gray[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]. He would use the first part of his mn more and since that o e is so special to you, I would put in front.
