Hey Berries! What do you think of the name [name]Ashlyn[/name]? I’m kinda curious to see what connection you make to it, as in when I see the name [name]Brittney[/name] I think popular girl, or the name [name]Lauren[/name], I see the quirky girl down the road from me. [name]How[/name] do you categorize [name]Ashlyn[/name], do you like it, and would you use it?
I prefer the traditional spelling, not this trendy version. [name]Aislinn[/name] or [name]Aisling[/name] looks much nicer and more classic. If you want to avoid the “Ais,” maybe [name]Ashlen[/name]. [name]Ashlyn[/name] just looks way too trendy for my taste.
The name itself is quite nice though. I think it’s underused.
I also prefer the traditional spellings, but either way it is a nice name. Very feminine and pretty. I don’t have a specific impression of it, such as popular girl, cool girl, quirky girl. I believe that the main character in Wicked [name]Lovely[/name] is named [name]Aislinn[/name], so I do vaguely associate the name with her. I personally really enjoyed that series of books, so to me it is a good association.
This spelling looks very made up and You-Neek to me. On the other hand, I know an [name]Aisling[/name] and she actually puts “It’s pronounced [name]Ash[/name]-[name]Lynn[/name]” in her email signature because she gets so sick of correcting people. So I see the point with trying to find a more intuitive pronunciation.
Having said that, I think there are plenty of names just as pretty that don’t have the same inherent problems, so for that reason I would avoid this name.
I’m not a fan. To me, it fits in with that trendy time of [name]Britney[/name], [name]Ashley[/name], [name]Courtney[/name], and [name]Whitney[/name]
I know a little girl named [name]Ashlyn[/name]. She is adorable! She spells her name the same way you are thinking about. Go with what you love.
I like [name]Ashlyn[/name]! However I think I would do [name]Ashlynn[/name]. I don’t think it’s too trendy at all. I know an [name]Ashton[/name], who is super sweet, hilarious, and kind of athletic, so that’s what I picture for [name]Ashlyn[/name] too.
