Ashton for a girl?

I saw a little girl who was about 8-10 years old recently and heard that her name was [name]Ashton[/name]. She was adorable. I really like the name and DH loves it. We are expecting our 3rd girl. First 2 are [name]Hadley[/name] and [name]Emmerson[/name] which I know are not very feminine names either. We tend to lean toward gender neutral but I am kind of stuck on [name]Ashton[/name] being all boy. What do you all think?

My cousin’s name is [name]Ashton[/name], and she’s a girl! I think it’s perfectly fine for a girl. I would say go for it!

[name]Hope[/name] this helps!

I usually wouldn’t recommend [name]Ashton[/name] for a girl, but with sisters [name]Hadley[/name] and [name]Emmerson[/name], I think it works!

That’s bizarre wareagle- I have a female cousin named [name]Ashton[/name] too! But answering your question, personally I don’t care for [name]Ashton[/name] on a girl, and I actually quite like it on a boy. However (and maybe it’s just because I was practically raised with my cousin) I know that there are girls out there named [name]Ashton[/name]. So I guess my answer is I don’t like it at all, but if you like it it’s not awful.

The only [name]Ashton[/name] I’ve ever know is a girl. I can’t see it at all on a boy - to me it’s all girl. In my opinion it goes perfectly with your other girls! One thing about the name [name]Ashton[/name] is that often people hear ‘[name]Ashley[/name]’ - so be prepared to correct people.
Good luck!

I have to agree I don’t like [name]Ashton[/name] for a girl (because I think [name]Ashton[/name] Kutcher and also because the name is just not my style). The only [name]Ash[/name]- name that seems feminine to me is [name]Ashley[/name], even though I don’t like that one either. But since you have girls [name]Hadley[/name] and [name]Emmerson[/name] and you like gender neutral names, I think [name]Ashton[/name] could work for you.
