Ashton

Has it gone to the girls, or is it still masculine enough to be a boy’s name? Also, do you think it would be too ‘cutesy’ on a grown man?

See I think if I had originally read this I would have thought no it works on [name]Ashton[/name] Kutcher, it works for a boy still, but when I saw the title [name]Ashton[/name], I thought I had clicked on the girls forum, so I guess that I subconsciously think it’s a girls name

I’m eager to see your responses… I love this name too!

I’ve never heard of a girl named [name]Ashton[/name]. It always reminds me of [name]Ashton[/name] Kutcher.

I knew a boy named Ashford growing up, I much prefer it to [name]Ashton[/name].

I don’t like this on girls at all and I don’t think it’s been used on girls much. I know a grown man named [name]Ashton[/name] and he seems to be doing just fine. He goes by [name]Ash[/name] sometimes. I think it’s handsome.

I love [name]Ashton[/name] on a boy! I think it’s definitely boyish–I’ve only ever met one [name]Ashton[/name] (and know of two moms online with a baby [name]Ashton[/name]/[name]Ashtyn[/name]), and all are boys! I’ve heard that it had/has some use on the girls, but I’ve never seen it. I can’t even imagine hearing [name]Ashton[/name] and thinking “girl”…

Good luck!

I think boy automatically because of [name]Ashton[/name] Kutcher.

I love [name]Ashton[/name]!! I know a little [name]Ashton[/name] who is all BOY!! I am sure he will be quarterback of the football team when he makes it to high school. So I think of him and certainly not a girl. [name]Ashton[/name] is not even ranked for girls right now and is almost in the top 100 for boys so I would definitely classify this as a boys name, I would not even call it unisex.

I am a real sucker for unisex names so I love [name]Ashton[/name]! I think it would work well on a girl or a boy, but with [name]Ashton[/name] Kutcher I think that most people would think it was more masculine. I think that it could go either way but makes a fine choice for a boy.
