Astor as a nn for Alastor?

I love the name Alastor a lot, but I couldn’t see a lot of viable nickname options. I don’t like [name_m]Al[/name_m] (too many in my family- eleven of them!) and any other options just seemed odd. Then I got it- [name_u]Astor[/name_u]! But the more I thought about it, the more it felt woo weird for me. I just love the sound of [name_u]Astor[/name_u] and Alastor so much!

What do you think? Is [name_u]Astor[/name_u] okay as a nn for Alastor?

I think it works.

It definitely works, and I really like it, I just don’t know if you’d manage to make it stick since it’s quite unexpected. Some other ideas are [name_u]Ari[/name_u], [name_u]Ori[/name_u] and [name_u]Story[/name_u].

Story is cute! I don’t see it on an Alastor after he’s grown up, though.
