At what age should your child stop...?

Another game for parents and future parents to play about children. Exactly what it says on the tin, answer what approx. age you’d want your child to stop something, then ask a question for the next person. [name_f]Remember[/name_f], it’s also okay to say if there’s no age limit, if you don’t believe a child should outgrow it. Have fun! I’ll start:

Having training wheels for their bike?

I think readiness is going to be different for each child, but around 5-8 years old sounds right. We are a pretty active family!

Playing with dolls?

I don’t think playing with dolls is necessarily something a child needs to grow out of if they enjoy it, but I would assume that they would around age 10.

Being tucked in for bed?

It depends on what they like! I got my parents to stop when I was around 10, but my older brother was 9. Both my older and younger sisters were 11ish.

Getting driven to school and start walking/catching a bus?

No age! I’d actually prefer to drive my future kids to school until they graduate. If it was needed for them to take the bus or walk (which I’d rather they take the bus than walk, unless someone trusted could accompany them), I’d say around 10.

Sleeping in a crib?

Sleeping in a crib? Once they start getting hurt climbing out themselves!

For us that’s usually been about 2.5. They actually really love the sense of security the walls of the crib give them for the most part…

Taking baths and start taking showers?
