I think it can definitely work as a first name. It seems trendy on NB but I think it is still pretty off-the-radar [name_m]IRL[/name_m], and I particularly like the Greek connection for you. I would certainly be a lot more distinctive than [name_u]Parker[/name_u] (though [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] does work well).
I think a solid, classic middle would work best with [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] - something like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] or [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u].
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] is definitely worthy of being a first name. I think of it as a more eccentric classic though I’ve rarely seen it used. I agree with ew314 that a solid classic in the middle would be the best choice.
I think I would go with something classic. I actually really like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]. It’s powerful yet cute, and gives the possibility of AJ.
I don’t favour [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] as a name due to his association in Greek Mythology. [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] was punished with holding up the sky for opposing [name_m]Zeus[/name_m] in the Titanomachy.
However for parents nowadays are seeing him as a representation of strength rather than punishment. So for me, not so much but it could be a good name for others.
And I will concede and say that [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] sounds quite nice.

I totally get what you mean. I guess I see the more positive side of the meaning - that he stood for endurance and strength.
I love the name - one of the only ‘trendy’ names that I like. It just sounds so masculine and strong. And it reminds me of travel and exploration. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] is a fantastic name, I love everything about it. Personally, I think a classic name as a middle would suit best is. [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] or [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]? Or something a little less stiff, like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u]?
Fantastic. [name_u]Love[/name_u]. Hits all of the timely high points too – Classical cultural name, A initial, “us” ending, edgy and masculine. I really like the suggestion of [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] but then I guess that could be an awful lot of legend for one name combo. Maybe a classic that is in vogue but not super high use, maybe like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], would suit.
I adore [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], and like it as either a first or middle name. I think putting him front and centre is a great idea. Of the names in your signature, I quite like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Fynn[/name_m] - the single syllable, no-nonsense middle sounds great with [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] (actually, I’ve been considering [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_u]Wynn[/name_u] myself…)
