What are everyone’s thoughts on the name Aubrielle? I’m assuming most people on here probably won’t like it, but I’m curious to hear what others think. I like that there are a bunch of nickname options too. Thanks!
I usually don’t like made up or smoosh names, although I am partial to [name]Annalee[/name]. Aubrielle isn’t a horrible name, I just prefer [name]Aubrey[/name] or [name]Audrey[/name]. It does have a lot of nickname potential though.
As I’m not a fan of [name]Aubrey[/name] or [name]Brielle[/name] (any [name]Bree[/name] names, really), it’s not my cup of tea. [name]Aubrey[/name], while not my style, is a solid name though, and definitely preferable. Aubrielle is too mash-up for my taste.
Good luck!
I don’t HATE it, but it’s not my thing. I like [name]Aubrey[/name] and [name]Brielle[/name] isn’t terrible, but together I think it sounds too forced and mashed up.
It is very pretty and flows very well. Quite lovely.
However, it depends on your ‘philosophy of naming.’ If you’d like your names to have some historical resonance, with famous and inspiring namesakes or long roots, then Aubrielle will strike you as a collection of pretty sounds, nothing more.
You might also like Kyrielle (which is a type of medieval poem, as well as an old Greek name referring to God-- kyrie is Greek for “o [name]Lord[/name]”), Katriel (“God is my crown” in Hebrew), [name]Merielle[/name] (“bright sea” in Gaelic, and a saint); Nourielle (“flame of God,” an apocryphal angel), or Sarielle (an angel who interprets dreams).
It’s pretty. But if I met an Aubrielle, I might also think that her parents were a little indecisive about what to name her and settled on a compromise.
I really don’t care for it. Besides the fact that I think br- names like [name]Brielle[/name], [name]Brianna[/name], [name]Aubrey[/name] are ugly, Aubrielle just seems really trashy. I can see the appeal, but the lack of being a ‘real’ name and the fact that it’s pretty obvious as a made-up name would cause me to keep it as just a guilty pleasure. It’s not as bad as some names I’ve seen, though!
I think it’s pretty in sound, but when I see it, it feels…lacking.
[name]Aubrey[/name] I prefer, Aubriel would be nice, but it seems very male to me due to [name]Gabriel[/name].
I think Aubrielle is just like [name]Audriana[/name], [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Annaleigh[/name], [name]Annabel[/name], and a ton I’m probly leaving out. They’re all pretty with plenty of options for NN when she grows up. And for the person who says the name sounds trashy…it sounds no different than [name]Audrey[/name] (one of her name choices). If I was introduced to an [name]Audrey[/name] or [name]Aubrey[/name] I wouldn’t remember which one they were 5 min later. The names are alot like [name]Bella[/name] [name]Ella[/name].
If you love the name then go for it! It’s a fine name- not my style but she won’t be my baby:)
[name]Roma[/name] Aubrielle was a combo I saw suggested on another baby name community and I thought it was gorgeous and was so sure I’d use it if I had another daughter. While that’s likely not going to be the case, I still think Aubrielle is pretty and very usable as a first name, but since [name]Aubrey[/name]/[name]Audrey[/name] are out as first names for me, I’d only use it as a middle name.
I wouldn’t give two thoughts towards any negative comments about it being formed from two names. [name]Mary[/name] [name]Beth[/name], [name]Rose[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Analeigh[/name], SueEllen are some examples are combo names that were well received. Combining [name]Aubrey[/name] and [name]Brielle[/name] into Aubrielle doesn’t seem the least bit odd to me. It’s not like it’s JesusLynnMohammed. That would be a mash-up.
Aubrielle is pretty- I like it as an alternative to [name]Abigail[/name] with its nickname Aubi. However, it doesn’t have the meaning or history I like, so while pretty, it is just NMS. It’s better than [name]Nevaeh[/name] and a lot of other modern invented names.
I actually sorta kinda like it.
It’s definitely a bit smooshy, but I like [name]Aubrey[/name] and I like [name]Brielle[/name] a lot.
It’s a bit frilly for my tastes, but I do think it’s very lovely.
Wow! I really really love Kyrielle. Never heard it and it’s so up my alley. Thanks!
I think [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] is a beautiful name…in fact I named my first little girl [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] Everyone we meet loves the name…sometimes I have to pronounce it slowly to people because they think im saying [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] or [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] lol. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I thought it had some classic charm but was still very unique. Charming…unique and beautiful…just like our little girl
Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!
I like it, sounds pretty and not common - which is a good thing and [name_u]Aubry[/name_u] for short is cute!
