šŸ„® Audrey, Autumn and Aubrey & Mikaela, Mikayla, Michaela, Makayla

I decided to just open one post for both or these. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to just answer to one or the other:

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]

  • which one do you prefer?
  • if you could only pick between [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], which one and why?
  • which image does each name give you and how would a person named this look and what would her age be?
  • are some dated already?

[name_f]Mikaela[/name_f], [name_f]Makayla[/name_f], [name_f]Michaela[/name_f], [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f]

  • which one do you prefer and why? You can also choose another spelling that I didnā€™t list.
  • do you prefer [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] etc. or [name_f]Makenna[/name_f] etc.? Why or why not?
  • which image does the name give you? does the spelling make a difference?
  • how do you imagine specifically a [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] and a [name_f]Makenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Makena[/name_f]?
  • does [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] look like a legit variant to you or trendy?

Thanks!

[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] male.

I donā€™t like any of these names but I love [name_f]Audra[/name_f].

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] & [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]

  • I prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] or [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], depending if Iā€™m looking at classic or nature names.
  • [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] would be my choice. Iā€™ve never been a fan of [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], and I absolutely love the timelessness of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] as well as the connections.
  • [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] is extremely dated to me. Itā€™s a name that is firmly set in the 1980s and early 1990s in my mind.

Sorry, I wonā€™t respond to the [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] variations for personal reasonsā€¦ I wonā€™t be able to give an unbias response no matter how hard I try.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is the most my style so Iā€™d maybe go for that. I think Iā€™d go for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] because it feels much more classic and timeless but [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] has a sweet warmth to it that I find very appealing so Iā€™m pretty tied between the two. [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] has never really appealed to me, I canā€™t quite place why because its a perfectly fine name.

I strongly prefer the [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] spelling, it looks the least trendy. I went to school with several that all had a different alternative spelling and none of them were my favorite people so I donā€™t have the best imagery for any of those options. I prefer [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] to McKenna but I prefer any McKenna name over all the other spelling options of [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]. [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] does look trendy to me.

Summary

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]

  • which one do you prefer?

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], an elegant and chic name in my opinion. All three are nice!

  • if you could only pick between [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], which one and why?

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], more classical.

  • which image does each name give you and how would a person named this look and what would her age be?

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]- I think of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Hepburn and her vibe in general - elegant, stylish, gentle, alluring etc. A classical name. :dress::womans_hat::ballet_shoes::cupcake:

[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] - cool girl vibes. :sunglasses::surfing_woman::roller_skate::guitar: Also more ā€˜trendyā€™ .

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] - warm and sweet energy. Trendy but also not too much. :yarn::cat2::fallen_leaf::scarf:

  • are some dated already?

No

[name_m]Okey[/name_m], I tried to answer, but I just really donā€™t love these names. Iā€™m sorry!

I prefer [name_f]Autumn[/name_f].
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] - I donā€™t like the ā€œoddā€ sound at the beginning of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] isnā€™t dated but I do picture an older person. [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] to me is an 80s girl name, just because of the several I know, all were born in the 80s. [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is a more modern name to me.
I like the [name_f]Makayla[/name_f] spelling best, I just like the way it looks compared to the rest,
I prefer [name_f]Makenna[/name_f], it has a softer sound to me that I like.
To some people anything but the original [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] will look trendy. But of all the girls I know who have this name, I only know one spelled [name_f]Michaela[/name_f], so with the current ā€œspell the name however you wantā€ trend, I think any of these spellings would fit in fine with her friends.

I love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], as I am a huge [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Hepburn fan. Of the three, [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] would be my choice over [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] or [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]. To me, [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] is better as a boy name. [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is okay, but not one I would ever consider using.

[name_f]Michaela[/name_f], [name_f]Micaela[/name_f], and [name_f]Michelina[/name_f] are the names I grew up hearing. The variant spellings are names that simply donā€™t interest me. Iā€™m not a fan of the modern variant spellings of most names.

I prefer [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] of the 3 and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] between [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]. [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] is very much male to me because I know one and heā€™s not a person Iā€™d want my kid sharing a name with. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] just gives me Hepburn vibes which is definitely not a bad thing. I only choose [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] over [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] because it feels less popular in my area these days and itā€™s my favorite season.

I prefer [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] for the connection to archangel [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and I just think itā€™s prettier. However, [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] is on my own list as a middle name because Iā€™m looking to honor some ladies in my family who have the middle name [name_u]Kay[/name_u]. [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] seems more regal and mature along the lines of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] while the other spellings seem less mature, almost juvenile. I donā€™t think they age as well.

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is the best sounding I think.
Iā€™d go with [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] because it flows better and is less common IMO.
Autumnā€“Clearly autumn coziness
Audreyā€“dowdy, kinda marmish
Aubreyā€“sweet and quiet
I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is sorta dated.

[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] is the most balanced looking
I had a bad experience with people with both [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] and [name_f]Makenna[/name_f] so I wonā€™t answer this lol
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] seems like a name that can grow with the girl/eventual woman itā€™s given to whereas the others seem stuck in girlhood tbh?
Mikaelaā€“cheerleader, snobby
Makennaā€“same
Makenaā€“same
[name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] looks too trendy to me.

Hoepfully this helps!

I think my favorite out of the A names would be [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
Out of these two, I would pick [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], but someone in my family used that name for their daughter.
I can imagine all these names on any age and Iā€™d imagine them to be peaceful people.
None of these sound dated to me.

Out of the M names, my favorite is [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] because I think it sounds nice, but the other spellings (Mikaela and Mikayla) kind of look like mean ā€œGet off the stage!ā€ popular girls to me lol. I like [name_f]Makayla[/name_f] as well.
I like [name_f]Makenna[/name_f] more that [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] because I quite like the name [name_f]Makenna[/name_f]. (The first time I heard it, I didnā€™t really like it, but it really grew on me). I also like [name_u]Kenna[/name_u].
All the four M names at the top make me think of the color purple and I think they sounds kind of girly as well. I can imagine [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] on a really nice girl - same with with [name_f]Makayla[/name_f] and [name_f]Makenna[/name_f].
[name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] looks a bit trendy to me.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is my preference - earthy and charming

I like the rounder, unisex feel of [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] - warm, friendly with a bit of style
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] - simultaneously trendy and glittery but also with a hint of the late 19th/early 20th century literary vibe
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] - earthy, warm, shades of gold and orange
I donā€™t see these as dated

[name_f]Mikaela[/name_f], [name_f]Makayla[/name_f], [name_f]Michaela[/name_f], [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f]

I think I like [name_f]Makayla[/name_f] - I like the way it looks how it sounds, I like the ā€˜kayā€™ in there and possibility of nn [name_u]Mack[/name_u]
I prefer [name_f]Makenna[/name_f] (or McKenna - my preferred sp) - it just sounds more rugged and cooler
It doesnā€™t really give me an image tbh (sorry)
[name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] - raincoats, long walks and gardening, going home to watch reality TV
[name_f]Makenna[/name_f] - a dancer, cool trainers and phone in hand
[name_f]Makena[/name_f] - smart and confident, a person whoā€™s well put together, a little bit sporty
[name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] looks legitimate to me

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
  • Of the three, I prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
  • [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] > [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] (for a girl ā€” [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] for a boy, though!)
  • I think [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] are both a little dated: [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] feels pretty ā€™90s and [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] is very ā€˜00s to me. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is the only one that feels quite timeless.
[name_f]Mikaela[/name_f], [name_f]Makayla[/name_f], [name_f]Michaela[/name_f], [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f]
  • Definitely [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] of these ā€” you can never go wrong with the tried-and-true classic, imo. I also like the [name_f]Micaela[/name_f] spelling to give it European flair.
  • [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] > [name_f]Makenna[/name_f] (any spelling of either name) ā€” personally just not a fan of the sound of the ā€œkennaā€ ending.
  • The spelling does make a difference to me: any combination of cayla/kayla/ckayla looks tacky, imho.
  • Yes, I would say [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] looks ā€œlegitā€. In fact, though I donā€™t personally care for it, I think itā€™s the only spelling besides [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] and [name_f]Micaela[/name_f] that doesnā€™t look trendy. All the others Iā€™ve ever seen definitely do.

Sorry if I sound harshly opinionated about this name. I really canā€™t help it, and I have to be honest.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]

I prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] because itā€™s timeless and has the most pleasant sounds to me. I also like [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] a lot!
Something about [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] makes me not like her. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] gives me girly, elegant & classy vibes. Movie star vibes too. [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] gives me veryā€¦ autumnal and cozy vibes. [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] has some warmth to it but I donā€™t have a specific vibe for it.
I donā€™t see any of these as dated.

[name_f]Mikaela[/name_f], [name_f]Makayla[/name_f], [name_f]Michaela[/name_f], [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f]

In an [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking place Iā€™d use [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]. Itā€™s the most timeless and looks the prettiest to me! [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] could also work.
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] and [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] give me the image of a nice, kinda serious girl, who likes to draw and read.
[name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] and [name_f]Makayla[/name_f] give me the image of fun-loving teenage girls.
[name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] is a legit variant to me, but Iā€™ve grew up in a country that uses only that variation of the name, so I might be biased.

I love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. It feels so timeless elegant . I love the nickname potential of [name_u]Audie[/name_u] , [name_m]Dre[/name_m] , [name_f]Addie[/name_f] , [name_u]Rey[/name_u] which feel more urban or modern and cute !

[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] is my favourite spelling
